Houstons skills all rated elite or above average at least. no knock on Nobes, he tried his guts out and extremely unlucky to miss out on a premiership medal , wish him all the best...but, this is a MAJOR upgrade and a huge influence on the players around him.
Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think!

Added a 2x All-Australian into the team.

This is a very exciting move.

Dan Houston is an upgrade on Noble & Richards, combined. That puts us ahead before the draft swaps, making the loss of picks negligible, imo. Given that we also gained Perryman for nothing makes me very content with our current standing after the trade period. Welcome, Dan and can't wait for 2025!

Even better — he was favouring Carlton but they stuffed it up. 😂

Welcome, i still don't feel easy about the fact we have moved out of what could be an exceptional draft. Only hindsight will tell us!

Umm… pick 3 in a super draft with guaranteed generational talent on top of their list. I don’t think they stuffed up.

We did well to get our man, but the blues will be very happy right now.

^ Every year is said to be an "exceptional draft year". It is if you get the exceptional player. I'd rather have Houston than Scharenberg and Freeman.

I'm not sure if he has a nickname, but how about 'Tex'?

I was a bit worried we'd given up too much for him, but having just watched a highlights package of his, I'm excited at what he could deliver for us. Apart from being highly skilled, he is as tough as, and along with Maynard, will comprise a fearsome defensive combination.

With Perryman and possibly Hayes or Tomlinson to come, we have reason to believe we'll be a considerably stronger team in 2025. Bring it on.
