Reef
And I'll add Kreuger.

Controversial opinion but I would persist with Nick Daicos. The kid has shown some good signs.

I think it'd be easier to ask who we should be moving on.

I think for some it would be the same list as above, unfortunately.
Except Demattia, he’s got time on his hands.

In 2026; Ed (20) comes in for Sidebottom. TJ (19) comes in for Howe. That transition will start happening in 2025. Both of them are very exciting youngsters and although a bit raw, will get stronger in the upcoming season. I'm confident they'll both feature heavily in the future. Smit (19) and Steene (21) will be looking at coming in for Cox in 2026 too, but i'll need a bit more convincing they'll be ready to play AFL by 2026.

Harry DeMattia (19) may have played in round 1 if not for his finger injury. He is one to watch in 2025. Parker (22) will get more of a run too. Ryan (20) is one I'll be interested in seeing how he goes after a few niggling injuries, but also entering his third year, I'm hoping he could come in for Crisp when the time is here.

Harrison is 20.
Nick is 21.
Beau is 23.
Bobby is 24.
IQ is 24.
Old men Josh and Perryman are 25.

We are not as old or in as big a danger as the media is pushing. Yes replacing Howe, Sidey, and Pendles will be very difficult, and we will likely drop a little when they leave. But we've got talented youngsters on the list. And let's see what picks we have when the draft hits, because we'll be adding three more to the list.

All the players mentioned above will be persisted with. The following guys are still young, but will need to show something if they want to be around in 2026: Fin (22), Chaz (23), Reef (21), Eyre (22), Long (21).

No, he should be delisted immediately ;)

The fact that he hasn't won a Brownlow yet shows he's not good enough.

And let's see what picks we have when the draft hits, because we'll be adding three more to the list.
The (almost) certain to retire list in 2026 (ages listed as at the end of 2025) and the "kids" who could possibly replace them:

Howe (35) ~~~ TJ, Ryan
Sidebottom (34) ~~~ Demattia
Cox (34) ~~~ Smit, Steene
Elliot (33) ~~~ Harrrison,

The probable possibles:
Mihocek (32) ~~~ Reef, Kreuger
Mitchell (32) ~~~ Ed Allan,
WHE (32) ~~~ ? Probably gets replaced overall by Perryman
Crisp (32) ~~~ Parker, possibly Eyre

And the hole/s that need filling now:
Key Defender ~~~ Dean, Eyre

Pendlebury will depend on form and how much he and the club want to go for the total games played record.

So, those that may need to make room for the next batch, assuming we're set to draft 3-4 players:
~ Fin Macrae
~ Ned Long (they may persist in the idea he could be turned into a run with, defensive player. I think he's too nice for the role and would therefor move him on)
~ Bytell
~ Sullivan
~ AJ

I’d try and develop McInnes as a defender.
He is 2cm taller than Murphy and has both speed and agility for his size.

At some point being a 'young player' runs its course, and we assess their progress.

Do they look like they can help the side up the ladder ? If the answer is NO.. some may get a life extension for depth or possible late development, but the writing is on the wall.

Just have to be honest about it.
