Re; Fin. Not much interest at this time. Kennedy and Parfitt are also available, so clubs will likely look at guys like this first. Hobbs was also a player that could be available. I like Fin, but I don't think we can expect too much in return if a trade was to happen. I feel the same way about Ash Johnson.

Yeah no one is knocking. I think Fin can be a very good VFL player if he puts his mind to it — no shame in that, AFL is brutally elite.

I can't blame him. I really wanted him to be better than he's been able to display, but alas... Any Club want 2 Macraes?

Id approach Melbourne. Fin and Ash for 49 and 54. Do they bite? Melbourne are in need of a key fwd and midfield depth.

We could package 49, 52, 54, 55 to the Lions who are looking for points.

^ Sounds like a plan. Melbourne are stupid enought to bite, too, by the looks of things.

He didn't get the extractor job even when Mitchell was injured. The club also tried out Sullivan, Bytel and Long throughout the year instead of playing him.
He realises that he'll spend next year playing VFL and then his contract will not be renewed, so he's seeking opportunities (fair enough).
However, not sure what other club (if any) would play him as a starting midfielder.

No harm really. Will be a depth player at best.

I had high hopes for him based on VFL form but his AFL has been well below expectations
If we land Kennedy I would be more than happy if we found him a new club

Shame for Fin. I really thought he was going to come on this year after what he showed late in 2023.
He was supposed to be the perfect replacement for Mitchell, but seems like he can't quite make the switch from VFL to AFL.

Wish him all the best, I hope he can get another crack at it, but seems like his papers are stamped at the Pies.

^ I would say Hobbs value is slightly higher due to the number of AFL games he has played.

I would say very unlikely we got Hobbs anyway

Are the Saints interested in having the brothers together? Are Essendon interested in adding to their inside mid depth? Would he get more opportunity at the Suns? I get why there is no interest as there's no shortage of fringe mids right now. It's the same with Johnson. Are WCE looking for another tall fwd? Are the Dees or Lions looking for a bit of coverage up front? Any deal for those 2 helps us out big time.
