I picked up a sneaker buying habit at the start of the year, mostly Jordan’s. So I started wearing a different pair to every game. It became my 2023 thing. Then against Melbourne, Carlton and hawthorn I still wore different ones but they are ones I didn’t buy this year. And then we lost. (Didn’t go to either Brisbane game). So basically every time I’ve been to a game this year with a new sneaker we win. It’s all good I’m prepared now. I know what I have to do. Money is no object, gotta get the pies over the line.

I’ve got a few other omens and I’m not taking any chances with any of them.

^ rumour going around that Hiss does the same, but with KT26's. The very same ones he wore when he got hitched to Bertha.

Living in WA we don't get to a massive amount of games.
Our first visit to the G was 1994, Easter Monday v Blues, it was Buckleys 4th game for the Pies and we won.
I have only been at the ground and seen us lose three times in the 40 odd games we've attended.
The last loss was to Adelaide in 2009.

I hadn't planned on being at the GF, but when Kellys name was drawn out at Crown a couple of weeks ago to win 2 GF packages that obviously changed.

This year we were at the game v Freo, last year it was the final game of the year when we knocked the bloos out. Your lucky charms are on their way ;)

I need this omen to be verified by another older poster but I seem to remember that before the 1990 GF, Michael Christian was cleared of a striking (?) charge. Ironically in 2023 Christian (at least initially) cleared Bruz of a charge so that he could play in a GF. Funny game football

The light on top of my flag pole got destroyed when a storm came through a few weeks back, so yesterday I got on the roof to change it out.
Coming off the roof and I missed one of the rungs on the ladder. Luckily there is a cord for one of the blinds right near where I took the tumble, I managed to grab that on the way down and lessen the impact somewhat.

Young Hayes, who was watching this all unfold said, "That sounded like a Giant hitting the ground Grandad, like in Jack and the beanstalk"... The Giants are going down!

My wife (who doesn’t barrack for the Pies), said after our Round 1 win against Geelong that this was going to be the Pies year.

Listen to your wife I say, she knows best.

Everybody at the MCG next week, please track down Paul and Kelly, and rub their tummys for luck; win at any cost! :P

Scott Pendlebury offered me a can of Pepsi this morning at the supermarket. OK, it was a cardboard cutout but still.

This is the best I've seen in this thread.

I re-posted it on BigFooty. It's too good not to mention.

Pies through to the GF and lose a KP Forward.

Omen gets more scary if we play Brisbane.
