Not sure yet. He'll have scans to see the extent of the injury.

Fly seemed upbeat about his prognosis if that's anything to go by.

^ not a huge surprise with regards to Moore i doubt that even if he had been un-injured would they have risked him in another home and away game? We have much bigger fish to fry.

Was interesting to see Moore jogging off to the change rooms at half time and also didn’t look like he had any ice on it. Maybe the latter doesn’t mean much as he would have been icing post game - but typically they start icing on the bench.

Hopefully the last of any soft tissue injuries. We have seemed to have this under control this year.

Given what we saw when he left the ground and the club announcing he will miss two weeks... and Moore doing laps Monday morning...

"A Grade 1 hamstring strain is a relatively mild muscle pull that generally heals in anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. Grade 1 strains usually cause some light pain and tenderness at the back of the thigh, making it difficult to move. That being said, the hamstring muscles' strength should be unaffected."

Injury Update: Round 23

Post by LaurieHolden »

Collingwood’s Head of High Performance Jarrod Wade has provided an injury update ahead of Friday night’s clash against the Brisbane Lions at Marvel Stadium.

Captain Darcy Moore (hamstring) is making positive steps towards recovery from his hamstring strain sustained during Friday’s win against Geelong. The defender has been running laps at training ahead of an expected return during the Finals series.

Jordan De Goey (glute) sustained a deep glute strain during Friday night’s match. De Goey will be assessed prior to the side’s Round 23 clash against Brisbane.

John Noble (ankle) is another player left with an injury after the Geelong clash, suffering an injury to his ankle similar to one he sustained six weeks ago. The Defender will also be assessed ahead of Friday night’s game.

Josh Carmichael (thumb) dislocated his thumb during Saturday’s VFL win against Geelong at Victoria Park. The young forward played out the duration of the game and will be further assessed this week ahead of this week’s VFL match. The Club will provide an update when the VFL team is selected.

Steele Sidebottom (foot) missed Friday night’s game against Geelong with a foot complaint that has troubled him across the season. The veteran is recovering well and will be assessed later this week to determine his availability for selection this weekend.

Will Kelly (ankle) has missed the last two week’s games due to an ankle strain. Kelly continues to rehab and will be assessed further in the back end of the week.

Nick Daicos
(knee) continues to recover well from a knee injury sustained during the Club’s Round 21 match against Hawthorn. As a precautionary the 19-year-old is using crutches to limit weight bearing on the injured knee.

Young defender Charlie Dean (foot) continues his promising rehab as he looks to transition to the main training group. Dean will be involved in match sim from next week should he continue to recover well.
