I don't expect him to be terrible.

The worst thing he's done as coach is to do trading like AFL is fantasy football. No way he'd do that again.

lets see, he was welcomed at his playing club as a senior coach and failed miserably, but then had the grace to take a position as an assistant,

RIP John Elliot.

He seemingly didn't approve of the appointment. His last words were apparently, "Voss coach Carlton....over my dead body....pig's arssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..........."

As strange as it sounds, I have a begrudging respect for Elliott.

Reminds me a bit of Big Al in the way they both stood up for their clubs vehemently even in times of great opposition against the AFL.
