Guys, just to move the focus away from Ginni to last nights games:

Bitchmond vs Port and Geebung vs St.Blunda...

The diving and staging from Bitchmond was nauseating, and ultimately REWARDED by the cheating umpires. Port fans going mental. Couldn't watch any more so turned over to...
Only to find ARSEHAT Cameron staging his quarterly falls for more cheap reward goals by the cheating umpires. St.Kinda defender trying not to erupt after alleged PUSH. Hawkins did it two weeks prior against Port to win them the game.
BOTH ACTORS WHO SHOULD BE CHARGED FOR STAGING AND BRING GAME INTO DISREPUTE!

These shit brained umpires would want to have a good hard think about this crap once September starts, because if they want to continue on with this shit standard against us in a final, they'd want to get used to dodging an arsenal of missiles once leaving the field at full time...

Mr Miyagi wrote:Lol Ginnivan did not dive, he was shoved to the ground and wasn’t expecting the contact because the ball was out of bounds. Free kick. Thank god my kids aren’t being umpired by eddiesmith in the little league
Totally agree!

Yep, my sister went to the port game eith junior, she’s hawthorn, and she said it’s a good thing you won or it would have been a brawl, andthe umps would need protection

I’ve never wanted a free ride, but I do want fair, Ginnie is being targeted by the opposition andthe umpires are treating him differently, that’s not on.

The deliberates paid yesterday were a joke, and the 50,s we should have got a critical one. Fair go, as it should be. The umpires are well paid and full time, they should be much better than they are

See what manifests in the next few weeks; f#ckers better ease up on him.

Totally correct again.
Again, it comes back to these **** on rules committee - ALL OF THEM need to be removed immediately once season concludes, and replaced, along with this buffoon CEO.
Do we even know who these imbeciles are?
Rules are idiotic at present; every time I hear one of the parrots squeal "STAND" when a player guards the mark, I wash to smash the TV.

The endangered area rule needs to be either tweaked or removed.
Too many controversial 50M penalties resulting influencing outcomes.
As does the 2-only ruck contest; if a third player goes up, then free against that team. Simplez.

And yes, lighten up on deliberate OOB rules, particularly when approaching ones own F50 area. Insanity, the one against Daicos...

Once these changes are swung, then just perhaps the umpiring standard will improve accordingly.

eddiesmith wrote: It depends on how many free kicks you want paid a game? The general rule is the major and obvious, not every single technical free kick. Yesterdays tally is about what you’d expect in a final, 50-60 free kicks a game is too many generally.

The funny thing is people like to scream about this missed free kick and that missed free kick and 99% of them like Ginny’s dive are not what you want paid.
I had a game this year where my colleagues paid way too many free kicks and guess what? They were rightly criticised for it because no one really wants that.
Next game with the same team they were high praise for our umpiring when I was with 2 better umpires who also only paid the major and obvious, because that’s really what you want to see.
I think you have purposely or inadvertently misinterpreted what I said. I would absolutely hate every minute free paid but I wrote “genuine frees” on purpose dude. In just about every game, they miss major frees for both sides. With 3 Martians running the show, this is not acceptable in my view.
They're only human and are running all the time whilst trying to get in to the best spot. Meanwhile the crowd sits in a different viewpoint or those at home on TV get 20 different angles and slow mo replays to pick it apart.

Throws are the perfect example, you're 25m away with players in front of you, you cannot say with 100% surety that the player threw it and didn't get a handball away, so they'll let most of them go.

High tackles often occur in packs where they cannot see, they can't be everywhere at once. When they're able to be in the correct position then they'll pick them up, like the Johnson push in the back was paid as the umpire was right there.

I get upset when there is clear bias and paying of the free kicks one way and not the other, but missing some 'genuine frees' because they're unsighted isn't an issue. People should try umpiring a few games and they'll get a whole new perspective.

Selwood got a high call last night identical to the 10 that haven’t been paid to Jack over the last 4 weeks. Consistency? Doesn’t exist.

^ Yes, there's a lot of it about. As I posted a day or two ago ( found it - see here: viewtopic.php?t=90719&start=167 ), a gentle push into the back of an opponent who was on the ground was deemed worthy of a 50m penalty in another game - but Salem is allowed to throw the ball at Ginnivan deliberately and push him over and that's apparently OK. Two sets of rules.

Lol at eddiesmith. Most of the high contacts against Ginni were not obscured by packs, the umps had a clear view but chose not to pay them. Blatantly.

Never said they were…

Meanwhile, a Carlton player gets pushed twice as hard as Ginnivan last night in the last minutes and no free kick, umpire deciding not to change the outcome of the game based on a weak dive.

You didn't watch the St Kilda game, did you? Or are you just choosing not to comment on that because your ground would be so hopelessly weak?

No I didn’t watch the St Kilda game. You do realise the free kick you’re still bitching about would have been reversed anyway? So you’re stil upset over a week later Melbourne didn’t get a free kick against Collingwood

I'm not upset - and I object to you suggesting I'm "bitching" about anything.

Thanks for clarifying that you didn't watch the St Kilda game - so that you obviously have no interest in commenting upon the point that I was making.

Shit of the SCG to put TV coverage of Jack on the big screen at the ground when he was on the bench with an injury so the feral hipster Swans supporters could boo him more. He stated after a match recently that it has taken a mental toll, but BT and co had a giggle over it. That was a bitter smile from Jack by the way, he was seething inside.

The AFL declined to comment on it, typical. When Collingwood booed a dirty dog of a player from Sydney they gave Sydney a home game every year for 9 years since and haven’t subjected those snowflakes to that nasty Collingwood crowd since.

Maybe Collingwood should refuse to play in Sydney for the next 9 years!
