It would solve the issue of JDG being needed forward and back as those two in rotation would be a formidable pair, far more damaging than a ruckman getting 50 hitouts to his own feet.
In just a few seasons his best season in terms of goals is already better than Steele who some think is a better forward than mid...
But yeah, 5th favourite for Brownlow yet he’s clearly crap, did in his 5th year what Sidebottom took 10 years to do!
But it’s all a pipe dream, Melbourne are equal top and flying and Collingwood are shit and should be sacking their coach. Who’d leave Melbourne for Collingwood?

Sidebottom has played alongside Swan and Pendlebury, so don't throw brownlow stats at me please.eddiesmith wrote:It would solve the issue of JDG being needed forward and back as those two in rotation would be a formidable pair, far more damaging than a ruckman getting 50 hitouts to his own feet.

Cunnington was once a brownlow favourite, does that mean we should throw a million at him?
You have failed to establish in my mind why Petracca is Elite? I am failing to see in what field he is an elite AFL footballer?
Petracca is just another Robin
Neither Degoey or Petracca are 'Elite' midfielders
But at least Degoey can be an 'Elite' fwd
Petracca has kicked 4 or more only 2 times in his career
DeGoey has kicked 4 or more 11 times in his career including bags of 5 and 6
Petracca has played more games

eddieeeee where are you eddieeeee?
Where was Petracca when Melbourne was holding up the rest of the ladder in 2019? Why didnt he solve Melbournes issues? Why were they a bottom 4 team?
Petracca has played in 3 finals
v Geelong ( 15 touches, 0 goals, 6 tackles, 0 clearences )
v Hawthorn ( 22 touches, 1 goal, 0 tackles, 1 clearence )
v West Coast ( 21 touches, 0 goals, 2 tackles, 2 clearence )
Yes these are Petraccas statlines ( not Josh Thomas incase your confused )
Do you know about JDG in big games? Or do you support another team?

Petracca needs to drop a few kg and get off the salami IMO
Bontempelli... now there is an Elite AFL footballer
Bont has:
Over 100 clearences in 4 seasons
Over 100 Inside 50's in 4 seasons
Over 100 tackles in 4 seasons
Over 500 disposals in 3 seasons ( including over 600 in 2 of those )
Petracca is yet to do 'one' of these things in 'one' season

Fair comment, Cam. However, he is a professional footballer who only has to perform for a couple of hours per week. He is surrounded by support staff, including psychologists, nutritionists, physios, etc. to provide him with the resources to deal with these challenges. He is not an Average Joe that has to deal with his issues on top of everything else. He is a high-performance talent that is paid (handsomely) to perform despite life's challenges. So he doesn't get to play the card you are offering, in my opinion.Cam wrote:Who knows where his head is at, got some pretty major things hanging over him. Going to be a week to week proposition, mentally I reckon. Of course all the supermen on Nicks would take it all in their stride and perform their normal jobs if it was them... don't @ me just because he's on a lot of coin, he's a human being too.
Would you excuse a lawyer, a doctor or other professional for providing such poor service?
There are 10 types of people in this world, those that understand binary and those that don't.

The problem is because the coach has refused to recruit a key forward we need him in the midfield and up forward all game, every game. When he goes forward he's a beast but we don't have the midfield to make the most of it. When he goes into the middle, he's got no one to kick to.
If we got Petracca it would solve the problem, but instead we blew our cap on a ruckman who luckily for the stat lovers can get 40-50 hitouts every week, shame they don't equate to Collingwood clearances...
eddie eddie eddie
Grundy has been averaging around 100 clearences himself per season, since 2016
Almost double what Petracca produces, get the facts right eddie before you come here embarrasing yourself brother
because you certainly NOT an elite troll

He takes what might be a 50/50 chance and turns it into a 75/25 chance in our favour
He can win a game in a quarter for you
Yes he was quieter last week but watch the game closely had his team mates honoured his repeated leads in that last term he could have easily kicked 2 and maybe 3 goals and we wouldn’t be having this conversation
For mine JDG is like a Martin runs one way and does his best work inside the attacking 50

Would be elite, despite what a certain troll would have you believe.mattdally wrote:He makes us so much better.
Unlikely he would come to our rabble at the moment, but JDG and Petracca playing forward / mid roles is a lot better than JDG / Thomas or JDG / WHE
Then again, maybe the troll is actually Ned Guy? Might explain the overrating of certain players and not interested in quality players at other clubs!!!

But why would it be elite eddie
Petracca is overrated and full of Calabrese Salami, convince me otherwise? If JDG is not an elite mid, and Petracca is not an elite fwd or mid, then how does that make us better?
Ill give you until midnight to present some stats or make some convincing statements as to why you would spend 1 million dollars on Christian Petracca...

Not always about stats, a lot will depend on him, us, if it's in our interests 'at the time he becomes available', whos coaching us, if our window is open, lots of things so no one need panic yet.Rosolino_Leone wrote:
