First time since 1993 that a player has had 24+ kicks without registering a handball.
That player was Gary Ablett Snr and he kicked a lazy 14.7.
He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD!

^ It wasn't on debut, though. I bet Ablett didn't lay 8 tackles and manage 6 stoppage clearances, either. Also, Carmichael's goal-kicking efficiency was 100%, whereas Ablett's was only 66%.

But Ablett did kick the same score we did today with his 25 kicks

He just needs to add a bit of composure to his game. That will come. He currently has all the attributes to make him a very good player for us.

In the first 15 minutes I thought he was one reason we’d lose. By the last 15, he was a reason we might win. The kid will make it. He just needs to build his tank with a big pre-season and grow in confidence. There was one point in the last when he was 15m clear and running towards goal at 60 and he passed to a contest. When he feels like he belongs, he’ll sink those with his leg.

How important was that game with Adams out? We know he has a great story, but that was a bloke playing a critical role for the team, too.

With Carmichael playing like this, the club will be in a much stronger position to negotiate with JDGs contract.

We defo don't win that game without his cameo and dead-eye kicking. Well done, son. Massive contribution.

I know they’ve only played 2 games but Carmichael + Johnson on top off Noble, kudos to the recruiting department.
And then there is Begg.

Massive performance in the latter stages of the game.
Was very stiff to be dropped in the first place.
