Lunatics justify lunatics, and here we are again.

Hamas is Hamas as gravity is gravity, but people had a choice when voting for Netanyahu and his crazies.

This is why I deem the election of far-right leaders an act of gross negligence: you know what they're going to do when the opportunity arises, as well as what they're incapable of doing if there's a crisis they don't benefit from (see Trump and Covid). No ifs, no buts, you bloody well know exactly what they'll do, so you own the decision to elect them and all that follows. It's clear as day when electing creeps like Netanyahu and Trump, and almost as clear when electing clueless dimwits like George W. who front a collective of such creeps.

Electing these ba$tards is the equivalent of cancelling every last insurance policy, then driving around town while on a drug binge and playing with petrol and matches, just waiting for the inevitable.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Unfortunately billionaires like Murdoch and other far right media barons have known how to target the ignorant and ill informed section of society since Hitler first weaponized radio, I prefer to blame those arseholes.

Exactly, KofC. It is not the voters to blame, but the capitalist ruling class which dominates the media and which dictates the politicians' policies, demonstrated clearly if the history is traced out.
In 1995, Rabin ( a Labor politician) agreed to the Oslo accords with Arafat. This agreement envisioned a bantutistan Palestinian state. But Rabin had encouraged settlers to expand Israel's territory by seizing the homes and land of Palestinians, so when he agreed to a Palestinian state, for the settlers even a Bantutistan was anathema. Rabin had created a Frankenstein monster, ie a fascist settler base, which came back to destroy him when he was assassinated by a religious zealot in 1995.
Since then, the fascist base of the expanding settler population has created a political formation which has progressively seized control of Israeli politics, due to the total complicity of the Labor party, which has always been complicit in the very same political orientation of expanding Israel's boundaries, at the expense of the Palestinian population, as well as implmenting apartheid policies within Israel itself against its internal Palestinian population.
So the Israeli population has had for decades a suffocating political straitjacket in which all the mainstream parties agreed with persecuting the Palestinian population. Voting one way or another made no difference
As you correctly point out, KofC, this was all faciliated by the control of the media by Israeli corporate billionaires, supported by the US government, for whom Israel is nothing but a military proxy.

You are quoting the IDF as a reliable source of information???
It has already been proven that the audio quoted by the IDF as "evidence" was doctored...yet somehow you believe that whatever video CNN is now referring to, provided by the very same IDF, is believable? .
Read the link.

The CNN investigation into the bombing wasn't done with anything provided by the IDF

The Video's from the IDF I referred to aren't mentioned in the article, it's a separate topic. As I said, they held a press conference in Israel and showed footage that can't be published as it's too graphic. It was referred to in The Heald Sun and a Channel 7 Journo was present at the meeting. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/world ... 3b07094ab0

2 separate thoughts in one post. maybe get your facts right before you get all indignant.
a) You did refer to the IDF propaganda (regardless of whether or not it was a separate topic)
b) CNN is part of mainstream US corporate media, which is a conduit of US govermment propaganda.
Really nothing more to say.

All the fricken political talk.

These are people, not tools, not collateral damage.

Yesterday I happened across the article about 100’s of journalists who had to leave phone’s etc outside, while they watched body cam footage from dead Hamas barbarians, footage of the music festival, and the houses they invaded. Apparently there was non stop tears, people throwing up, having to lose their eyes, for example, cutting a baby from its mothers belly, stabbing it to death front of the mother and then shooting the mother. On and on the stories went.

That’s not an act of war it’s murder, torture, I get why they want to wipe Hamas out. But you don’t bomb hospitals. Is there no Palestinian army? You’d think they would band together and get rid of The terrorists.

It’s often said sarcastically on nicks but for christs sake somebody think of the children.

Including the Aussie woman who wants to stay with her husbands family in Israel. **** that get the kids safe.

The violence of Hamas and that of the Israeli state are not equal. Israel has already killed well over 3000 Palestinian children, incinerating them with bombs, or cutting off power to life saving medical machinery.
The Palestinians have been persecuted by the Israeli government since 1948, if you bother to go back and read the history.
For the last 16 years, Gaza has been subjected to an economic blockade by Israel which has created abject poverty, semi-starvation, vast numbers of malnourished children. Over the last 3 weeks it has been a total siege, and no doubt already children are succumbing to starvation, dehydration if they are not incinerated by bombardment.

There is only one way to "get the kids safe" - it is the immediate cessation of military operations by the israeli government, and the immediate and massive supply of humanitarian assistance to the people in Gaza.

You are conveniently ignoring what started all of this on October 7th.

Nobody should whitewash, minimise or neglect to mention the Hamas massacre. But saying that it's "what started all of this" is as bad as pretending it didn't happen.

Even if we were to ignore the long history of this conflict, displacement of the Palestinian people, the illegal settlements and so on, there have been plenty of atrocities and cruelties inflicted by Israeli forces upon Palestinians in just the past few months. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_ ... ct_in_2023

I thought it was pretty spot on, particularly the bit about Hammas not giving a shit about the people of Gaza
