:D So he can still win the Brownlow Medal! :D I wouldn't put anything past him. Well he can mark the pill higher than most, Can weave through 5 defenders and snap truly. He tackles anything he can get his hands on opposition getting around him register GPS mileage over their limit. Never say Never!

However, it’s worth listening to Whateley’s opening monologue, ’The Curious Case of Mason Cox’. Whateley throws Michael Christian under the bus when he asks rhetorically:” Why was the idea of concussion allowed to propagate?”]
Very strange. Remember the days when no one was allowed to talk about a charge until the hearing? Now we have media campaigns from all sides including the MRP.

The AFL was behind the concussion news, they wanted Cox whacked for a week to make a statement -- ie, to make themselves look good in regards to concussion lawsuits happening right now with ex-footballers.

Yep, it all seems to have been one ridiculous media beat up with the AFL behind it, for whatever their implicit reasons.

jatsad wrote:So the medical report that supposedly said Grimes had concussion was just a lot of bull. Obviously the corrupt AFL had their hand in this.

So what was he guilty of that he needs to pay up $3000?

This wreaks of ass covering.

And Chrisso, trying to justify his decision using that report now needs to go.

This is utter embarrassment for the AFL.
i understand that Chrisso needs to be unbiassed, and this probably justifies the introduction of a panel rather than a single person, but I'd hate to ever see him on stage MCing another Collingwood event considering how he's handled this.

Here we are again... but this time we're on the opposite team.

Go AFL! Go Mr. Gleeson! We want blood! Are they allowed to increase the penalty from 2 weeks to 4 weeks? (Call it a tatt tax.)

For Martin: Michael Tovey QC and Sam Tovey.
For AFL: Jeff Gleeson.

"Adam Kennedy is now being called to provide evidence."

So players do end up giving evidence after all...

Is Jones a lawyer? Don't think the ex-players are.

"There was much conjecture over whether Kennedy should be allowed to be called. The AFL's legal counsel, Jeff Gleeson QC, argued he shouldn't ..."

Should we get Libba (Sr.) in to get Williams angry?

"In summary, Gleeson tells the Tribunal strong consideration must be given to the potential to cause injury."

Go for the kill, Gleeson!

I don't know who we might get in to get Neitz angry.

"Gleeson is pointing to the clauses in the AFL's guidelines that say strikes such as these will "not usually" be graded low impact, due to their potential to cause serious injury."
