Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

I'd love to go back to her house and go at it all night... talking about football of course.Dave The Man wrote:Emma is just about the Best Journalist going aroundAN_Inkling wrote:Good article on Cox in The Age a week or so back:

US article from an OSU blog. As a basketballer, it seems Mason only played 57 minutes in his 3 year career at OSU.

Hine groups them together as alternative athletes. We've had 3 who have been able to earn promotion onto our main list, with Keeffe and Witts still with plenty of upside. Marty is probably cooked. Mooney is still some chance of being promoted, although it would seem his trajectory has flattened out. Shae and Richmond were outright busts. Not a bad record, given the speculative nature of these picks and the advantage that comes with being able to pick them up outside the draft.FrankieGoesToCollingwood wrote:Happy to keep persisting with these project international players, we'll have get one right sooner or later?

He's chosen to join us.
Nothing ventured nothing gained.
Hope it turns out, not on the salary cap,
Does not replace a younger player
Has vision through basketball & soccer backgrounds i.e. likely to read the play well
Has time to develop some kicking skills.
Go Pies.

I hope we're scouring places like Tonga looking for athletes who have a bit of rugby in there background. That could be where we'll unearth a mid. And the Ireland experiment isn't completely over either.Dave The Man wrote:Better Going for Talls from Overseas then MidsFrankieGoesToCollingwood wrote:Happy to keep persisting with these project international players, we'll have get one right sooner or later?

They will Dominate the AFL in the Next Decade or 2Damien wrote:Majak aside, the AFLs ranks is gunna be full of Sudanese kids before too long. Their height and athletic abilities are starting to really show thru in local junior footy and once they are ingrained with AFL from a very early age look out.

That would be bloody sensational. I hope Collingwood get some of the Sudanese (and other) young stars into our youth academy and train them up. Like Jackcass said, some NZ, Fiji and Tongan talent wouldn't hurt either, while still keeping an eye open for outstanding Irish and US talent. We must never let a chance go by to improve our list, and taking calculated risks and thinking outside the square is a really good thing to do.Damien wrote:Majak aside, the AFLs ranks is gunna be full of Sudanese kids before too long.
