His first kick was a goal so his 10,000 possession being a goal would have a nice synergy to itthink positive wrote:for decision making at least!!

If you're just going on stats it's hard to go past Gordon Coventry.
First VFL player to kick 100 goals in a season, first VFL Player to play 300 games, first VFL player to kick over 1000 goals.
Greatness should be about more than just stats though, and it's fair to say we've had many champion players over different eras, and it's hard to compare players from different eras against each other, it's better just to look at how they went in their own era.
Pendles will no doubt be an all time great of the club, whether the greatest or not is purely subjective.

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

Yep this is a record that will last almost as long as Gordon Coventry's.
He is my best Collingwood player ever. It's so much harder to play the game these days than in the 1920s-30s VFL - no disrespect to our great Machine teams. Bucks is the only other one to come really close. But Pendles is the man now.

Greatest ever Pie.
2 Premiership medallions
1 Norm Smith medal.
Collingwood captain from 2014 to 2022.
6 time AA
5 time Copeland Trophy winner.
...and
currently coaching on the field (from 2023 to present, and no doubt even longer)...
Currently indispensable to our midfield mix.
...and
makes time stand still, even now, aged 36.
