The losses make the wins all the sweeter!

Was watching to review Grundy's game actually, see if what I remembered stacked up against reality

^ Lemme guess. The reality was even worse than what you remembered?

My guess is: folks remember Q4, where he was actually helping the oppo run down the clock. (Tap to feet, pack forms, another ball up, 10 seconds wasted, repeat...) But there were at least* 5 times when he bashed hit outs straight to oppo players on their own. Gobsmackingly bad. (* "At least" means I've seen lowlights that show those 5. For all I know, may have happened 50 times out of 73.)

Sidearse has always been a favorite of mine for that very reason.
It is so obvious he loves being out there.

He loves being a Magpie too.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

And here's one for you old farts like me: we all need to be surrounded by the right people who give us our energy and zip back. What a story. Fly's ability with young and old alike is incredible.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

You must've been sitting directly beneath me! That 1st pic, I remember it clearly, I thought he was going to launch into a left footed torp. I'm sure he's mentioned that he gets more penetration on his left. He did it that time on Anzac Day when he was outside 50 and ran around the mark, towards the boundary and kicked it through with his left. It really was an astonishing goal and I was certain he was going to try something similar. Didn't think he had this one in him, I'm still gobsmacked by his genius!

Just marvel at the skill to weave through the pack from the 0.32 mark.
And the penetration in that kick, that bullet must have travelled 60m by the time it hit JDG lace out.
