Roos has hidden him down back a bit, why is that? Same as Jack Watts?

Ditto. Well worth the gamble IMO if we can negotiate a decent deal as the upside is massive. If the kid got his head together he'd make Treloar look like a plodder.RudeBoy wrote:You're probably right. Id rather take a gamble on someone like Bennell.jackcass wrote:Not convinced about him. Know he can take a mark but not sure that justifies the sort of $$$s being bandied about.

Stood out in a very average side. Can take a mark and can kick straight.

No, they're not.Dave The Man wrote:Why?
Elliot and Fasolo are the Exact Same Type of Player?
Yes they can both fly for marks, but other than the high flying Elliot plays the small forward role more and Fas plays more of a leading short full forward.
They have similarities but are by no means exactly the same

Howe has kicked 80 goals 65 behinds in 100 games (average of 0.8, 55% accuracy).
Watts, 83 goals 44 behinds in 115 games (average of 0.7, 65% accuracy).
Not much to split them in terms of goal kicking. Both have spent time down back as well as up forward. I'd rate Watts the better player, but if we were looking at them the question will be whether we need a tall forward or a medium (Watts 196cm, Howe 190cm).

Well done boys!
The talk was that a number of clubs shyed away from Howe because his asking price was to high. Like anything, its all relative to the cost.
Im not a fan of either but if Howe came cheap enough, you could mount an argument for getting him to the club on the back of his versatility at either end of the ground.
I haven't bothered to check his B and F finishes but if he hasn't been consistently in the top 10 at that club, Im not sure I would be in a hurry to invest.
