He is the reincarnation of Medhurst. The way he hits aerial contests is eerily similar. He launches his jump early, sticks his behind out and hits the ball on rise, it enables him to play well above his height. Defenders can't legally get around his body to spoil. Medhurst used to be the master of it.
Seems to me to be a fair bit better on the ground than Medhurst ever was too which is a plus. Doesn't have explosive pace or agility (that I saw anyway), but makes up for it with smart positioning and movement to the right spaces. Didn't get much of a chance to see how he worked defensively, the ball was bouncing out of our 50 far to quickly.
He did blow up a bit, even early in the second quarter he was blowing harder than most even though he'd played predominately in and around our 50. So while I'm sure he'll debut this year, don't expect him to be rushed in just yet.

I'd say he was referring to the cheeky grin and not the other things tipwat is infamous for. Relaxthink positive wrote:where do you get that from??swoop42 wrote:I reckon he'll be a regular in our team this season if he can stay fit.

Nice game form the mini-medders, another two weeks of similar effort will see him debut.

Certainly not some kid playing in a team that controversy just loves to find!

Watched the VFL replay last night (as i went to Etihad) specifically to watch Elliot. He has goal sense, is a good mark & is strong for his short stature. Kicked a few beauties by keeping on applying himself when the players including himself were knackered in a losing team.
Pick him this week as a surprise packet!

Well, Jamie did compare himself to Milne after he was drafted, as the current player he is most similar to.think positive wrote:Still I would not compare my worst enemy to that piece of disgusting shitBeast wrote:I'd say he was referring to the cheeky grin and not the other things tipwat is infamous for.
