Yeah thought that one was quite extraordinary.Mugwump wrote:Undoubtedly should have got one ten minutes into the first quarter when he took a mark and was crashed into from behind by Aliir who contested the body not the ball.Jezza wrote:Received two free kicks in the forward 50 tonight.

Remember - the umps blow the whistle, if they award something soft but technically against the rules, then so be it. I was at the match last night and Cox should have been awarded at least another half dozen frees/marks. It's not the frees that are awarded that is of concern, it't the ones that aren't....the only thing that is consistent is the inconsistency.

Anyone watching the close finish tonight in the kangas game would have seen that hold on Ben Brown while McGovern took the saving mark in front of him.
Clear as day and the umpire was there.
North JUST lost that game.
For goodness sake, you can't see that and NOT pay it.
Yes it happens to Cox too.
And the nerve of "smarmy" Damian Hardwick to complain about the frees against them, especially re Jack .,
Richmond players constantly push players into other players, such as when Howe got injured, and nudge players under the ball. Friday night, the ups had their glasses on.
They all do it.

Re: mason cox
Richmond are a very physical side who will use those tactics continuously in games that is the reason they have the worst free kid ricord in the league. Like the Hawks before them they play unsociable footy. That is why we need tough blokes like Greenwood, Trav, Maynard JDG and Adams in there! In the finals we got to get tougher and play unsosciable like the tigers even if we do give frees away.....orie wrote: And the nerve of "smarmy" Damian Hardwick to complain about the frees against them, especially re Jack .,

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
Oh, I see good old Wayne did bring it up. (They recycled some of their Tiggers footage.)K wrote:...
I don't think they asked him about this issue on Talking Footy yesterday, did they?
On the Tiggers game, have a look at this, preceding WHE's mark:

Do you think Rance infringes? (The video from behind the goals would be interesting to see.)
