Wright could/will Suggest to Footy Department give Port what they want for Houston.

Done it in the past paying bit overs in Trades

Interesting timing re Wright joining the Blouse given we're smack in the middle of Trade Week where a battle is going on between Carlton & Collingwood to secure Houston.

Yeah I’m not confident on Houston. That we’re looking at Hayes suggests we have our plan b and c and d.

Remember the goal he kicked from 55m out after the siren on a wet night at the MCG to win Port a game. He is a big time player.

Why is that interesting?
He lost interest in the club and left a year ago.
Wright would not be involved from our side in anything that is now occurring

Houston would be a huge get.
He's been pushed out of the midfield to half back now with Rozee, Butters and JHF.
I'd love him in our midfield with Nick and Perry - he's worth the trade currency that's been floated about.
Not sure if the deal will happen as I think the Noble deal to the Suns is a stretch, but we wait and see.

Will be annoying if thats the case. I think pick 13 / Noble gets done before the last day surely, that gives us enough time to sort out Houston unless he adamantly nominates or Carlton up their offer. With Richards though I dont think they will simply accept a few picks and wait to see what we offer. Hopefully its all done well and truely early.

I think anyone who says Houston is not a big fish must fish for Marlin! Little fish do not have the playing record he has.
From what I’ve heard, our chances of getting him are pretty low but where there’s light, there’s a possible way out of dark cave. Let’s see how it all pans out.

I am very realistic when it comes to trading.

We don't always win on paper, sometimes the other club can only trade what it has and if we want to get the player, its a compromise. And sometimes it's a win.

And sometimes we get a Perryman for free, and nobody has walked out for nothing.

Its hard, but I reckon trading success is measured over a 5 year or more period.

IF the Bluescum get both Wright and Houston, I can see their vile fans gloating over our misfortune and humiliation, can see it now, on Utube, those leering Arabic Caaaarlton fans on Monday Blues. Brown paper bags being revved up at Princes Park again are they. ??, nothing would surprise me.
