We’ve signed Messi, but haven’t told the Daicos brothers he’s getting their numbers yet ;)

Apols mods if this has already been posted, I did a search but nothing came up. I'm sure someone said this before so I will bring it up again now given the Swans debacle and years of introspective therapy and external horse whipping required to overcome their current GF meekness, Chad Warner has to be a massive chance to want out and be favoured to go home to WA at this time. Freo would appear best stocked with draft picks to go after him, it seems a natural fit. I'm sure other clubs around the country will have a go, why wouldn't you want to pick the carcass of a dead swan.

If Freo can't get the Swans to trade for Warner early this year given their bevy of first round picks, and given they're chasing a contracted Shai Bolton, Freo will need to create capital for a trade at the end of 2025. If we can't land the GC Pick 12, maybe we could pivot and trade our future first (2025) to Freo for one of their first round picks (2024). Gets us back into this year's draft earlier than P20 or P26 (if we can get that from GC) and then can draft or still seek a Craig Macrae player via trade.

^^ Is Bailey Smith still an option? Seems very unlikely.
But Peatling is in demand and interest from us - maybe no longer also.

Remember people, trade window has not opend yet....the number of players that are not even on the radar THEN with 72 hours of trade week to go suddenly all these players hit the market. I think this could be a very busy trade period.

My early prediction :

if we can come out of trade week(s):

Out: Richards, Mcrae, Noble (insert anything that can be got for: Mcinness maybe Kruger) and picks this year and next need to be off-loaded for points or pick upgrades.

In: Perryman (free agent i know), Lord, (picks needed for Thomas Mcguane)

will be a win.

Story on MSN saying SDK “gettable in upcoming trade”. Have no idea how but wouldn’t hurt having a big mobile unit playing with us next year.
Do we have any dead sh1t’s left to trade to Drugong? Seems that’s their flavour this week.

Tim Kelly looking to leave WCE as his contract expires in 2025. Unbelievable. Leek Aliir is one that may interest us, and is also expected to be available next year.

A couple of the free agents for next year that stand out include; Darcy Fogarty, Sam Draper, Andrew Brayshaw, Luke Davies-Uniacke, Oscar Allen, Marcus Bontempelli, Ed Richards, and Brandon Starcevich. Of course most of these will be signed up by the time it's March. And most wont be looking at Collingwood for various reasons.

Sam De Koning is a possible option to be traded from Geelong.

SDK would be a very welcomed addition to our team, even though I'm not too fond of him. But how can we get it done? Dees should be asking for him re:Oliver.

Ok-

Let's at least consider the possibility of offering Brayden Preuss 29 year old ruckman- 206cm and 114kg beast delisted by GWS- so can be picked up as a Delisted Free Agent next week- not draft capital required...

If he comes back fit and well, he gives us an authentic ruck back up to Cox and Cameron as Steene develops in the VFL.

Perryman and Preuss would both add qualities that the AFL team can utilise.

We simply need to get better by introducing talent either by draft or picking up 'freebies' who add something.
Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away...

According SEN Oliver burnt another olive branch with his behavior at the Brownlow. May be the leadership group is taking a hand and shoving him out the door.

trade rumours today have Garcia staying at the dogs as they think Richards is going to Port.
I still want Joe to stay but that could be an interesting trade now if it eventuates given all the media about Chris Davies, Ollie Lord and Dan Houston in the same arena with us pinching Perryman out from under their nose.
Can Joe Richards net a better draft pick than the one we used to pick him?
