who cares? both absolute champions,

Go pendles, smash em today!
how good if a goal is the one!!!
His first kick was a goal so his 10,000 possession being a goal would have a nice synergy to it
I think therefore I think - I think

If you're just going on stats it's hard to go past Gordon Coventry.

First VFL player to kick 100 goals in a season, first VFL Player to play 300 games, first VFL player to kick over 1000 goals.

Greatness should be about more than just stats though, and it's fair to say we've had many champion players over different eras, and it's hard to compare players from different eras against each other, it's better just to look at how they went in their own era.

Pendles will no doubt be an all time great of the club, whether the greatest or not is purely subjective.

Yep this is a record that will last almost as long as Gordon Coventry's.

He is my best Collingwood player ever. It's so much harder to play the game these days than in the 1920s-30s VFL - no disrespect to our great Machine teams. Bucks is the only other one to come really close. But Pendles is the man now.

Depends on eras I guess
It’s hard to judge eras from decades ago against the players today
One we didn’t get the chance to see many of those champions play unlike today when we see them weekly

But Pendles wouldn’t be out of place in any era of the clubs history like Buckley and Swan.
