Yes comrade, I was there that day of infamy, moorabbin, lived in Highett back then, walked to the ground, young dude then. Hated the bastards ever since, plus 1966 of course. Decades later, my young son ran out for the Saints at waverly park, for their Little League team, playing the Magpies. !!! Daddy was not amused, to say the very least, he got dragooned into their team by his loca junior team, Silverton Bears in Noble Park. One of his school mates played that day too, that Gwilt, who played for the saints against us in 2010 GFs. A stroll down memory lane, hey .

Growing up in Frankston, my little league day had me playing for the Saints at Moorabbin. Being a junior Dolphin I didn't mind donning the colours as much but I can't say I was a complete fan of the idea.

In spite of having 1 fewer scoring shot, we did beat Carlton by 4 points so I've hung my hat on that for the last 35 years or so.

saint kilda are a crumby club and who dont stand for anything and helped along the way by the bigger clubs.
But crumby is the word ill describe them.
no big deal like the bulldogs and richmond.
