Yep, PPie.

Surely this almost guarantees there'll be three in the family with Copeland wins. I'd guess that'll be the first time.

How many times have brothers or father/sons won?

Looks like:

Harry Collier 1928
Bro Albert 30, 34, 35

Syd Coventry 1927, 32
Bro Gordon 33.

That right? So looks like father/son is already a first.

A great result. Nick will win plenty of Copelands, so it was just fitting that Josh got his chance to win it this year.

The Daicos legend continues to grow.

I thought it was extremely disappinting on so many fronts.
Go back to the live stream . that was better.
I think time constraints perhaps as well as music copyright affected the telecast.
It was rushed.
...

Such big breaks with no explanation .It lacked atmosphere or excitement. I would say pretty boring.
....
The commercial music thing was crazy! Don't the Foxtel folks know about the mute button. Just mute it and show the video!! Instead they give a black screen of death.

Did the Pies pay them to produce/show it, or did they pay the Pies? Maybe neither...

The show they play on the G is all that matters.

I wouldn't care if they had a bbq in someone's backyard and filmed it on an iphone 8)

Good result for Mitchell.
But hope he has a better 2nd year than Pat (6th last year).

^Depends on whether he gets an injury like Lipinski did or not.
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️

I’d suggest Quaynors sixth is a reminder of just how solid he’s become as a small defender. It took him about two / three weeks after the Charlie Cameron mauling to get his confidence back and then didn’t put a foot wrong for the rest of the season. He’s got all the tools ( including durability ) for an even higher finish in 2024. Fitting reward for a player who took his fitness KPIs to a whole new level in 2023.

A year on... Yes and yes! 8)

"The Daicos family created VFL-AFL history on Friday night when they became the first father and two sons to win VFL/AFL best and fairests, with Nick joining his father Peter (1982 and 1988) and his brother Josh (2023) as winners of the E.W. Copeland Trophy."
