Looks like Adams has been in Sydney touring the facilities! Rumour has a few legs.
From Tom Morris at SEN.
@tommorris32 Taylor Adams toured @sydneyswans HQ this week. They've wanted to find a key defender and another midfielder this off-season so Adams fits the mould.

Also a link up with Brodie Grundy.

I think the loss of Taylor Adams would be a problem for Collingwood in terms of leaving the on-ball brigard short of the hardness that can make a difference in big finals games.
That said, his injuries seem to be occurring more regularly, he's not fast and his disposal is questionable. If Sydney want to make a realistic trade offer we would have to consider it.

Collingwood Domination. Envy of the Nation!
It was only 12 months ago that Sydney beat us in a Preliminary final.
They've secured Jordan, will obtain Grundy, are after Adams (who else?) and with a younger group overall have more capacity for natural growth in coming seasons. Do we want to give them what could be a missing piece of a Premiership puzzle when we ourselves are in the window?
As far as I'm concerned we have the whip hand here, Adams is contracted, he was best 22 when fit this year and is a leader of the club.
If Sydney want him then they have to pay overs or we simply walk away.
A top 25 pick is the minimum starting point for any discussion.

They still haven't got a full forward and Grundy appears to be past his best. They need a lot of improvement based on the 2022 Grand Final. Carlton, Brisbane,Port and GWS are the main challengers in 2024 IMHOswoop42 wrote:It was only 12 months ago that Sydney beat us in a Preliminary final.

Maybe Adams has been told to find a new home?swoop42 wrote:It was only 12 months ago that Sydney beat us in a Preliminary final.

Get back on top.
Taylor has been the heart and soul player of our club for many years. He has had a tough 12 months missing the captaincy, tearing the groin in 2022 Qualifying Final against the Cats and then missing the Preliminary and GF this year after doing a hammy at training. In vehicle terms, he has been a fantastic VE Commodore with 200,000 km chalked up with at best 50,000 to go.
Do we trade now and get a great 10 year vehicle replacement or keep and pray it doesn't break down again. My gut says trade and get the Swans Pick 23 or a favourable pick shuffle as well.

I cant see gold coast giving up pick 4 but I could see getting 23 and 31 from Sydney and offering 18 and 23 for pick 10 (assuming Gold Coast get 10 and 17 from the dogs) and Fiorini. That could be quite helpful. Would leave us with pick 10 and a pick 31. (or even throw 31 in too)
Fiorini isnt Adams underpants but he does have at least 5 more years in him
Could be a Taylor Adams/Heath Shaw deal allover again
