Zen and art of premierships

Post by dalyc »

I’ve had an epiphany. Im usually a wreck going into GF’s. We all know the history. The more we wish it not, the more it seems to happen.

Im doing a Fly. I’m embracing. I’m neither afraid nor boastful. I don’t know what’s going to happen Saturday but I’m enjoying the moment.

If we win I’ll be overjoyed. If we lose I’ll applaud the victors who will have overcome a team that has provided me so many moments of joy over that last 2 years.

No, that’s not true. They’ve provided me joy and been a constant in my life for many years.

I grew up in Sydney. Born early 60’s. Mum, born 1930, lived in Perry St, Collingwood for her early years. Mid 70’s we’d watch Match of the Day. When it was us vs North in B&W was hard to work out what the hell was going on.

Rambling now. May the best team win but whatever happens I’ll be back next year and the year after that. Just like Mum who just turned 93.

Forget the media, forget the hype and make the ball your target.

Doesn't get more simple than that.

Similar vibe though
You’ve gotta harness the good energy and block out the bad
Harness good. Block the bad.
Feel the flow.
It’s circular. Like a carousel.

I love that scene.
