Just bring her into the rooms saturday to have the baby FFS; it's going to be utter chaos and noise in there anyways, so nobody will even notice...Dark Beanie wrote:Read somewhere that Mikayla had told Jack she was OK for him to play if there was clash with the arrival of the baby.

Lachie Neele banged up - will be jabbed probably. Jack Payne will be underdone if he gets up. I don’t think our boys will be too bad. Had a good break and an extra day off. Nick Daicos looked much better second half - he will be cherry ripe.choppa wrote:Looks like we’ve got a lot of players with decent niggles. Brisbane look pretty good. I’m worried but hope we win .

I think Adams will either be playing or will be in the stands with a fully shredded, grade 3 hamstring. I suspect he gets a searing examination Friday or maybe Saturday morning and if it doesn’t go he plays.
Question - if we get a half out of him, would that be justifiable given we would probably make the sub at some point? Of course you don’t know if you are going to get another injury.
We’ve not picked match winners before under a cloud and that hasn’t worked. He is a pretty valuable player…

Injury Update: Grand Final
Collingwood’s Head of High Performance Jarrod Wade has provided an Injury Update ahead of the 2023 Toyota AFL Grand Final against Brisbane.
Midfielder Taylor Adams will be assessed this week following a hamstring injury sustained during match simulation ahead of the Preliminary Final.
“He’s up to about 85 to 90 percent running speed, so clocking in at a pretty good speed and we know now that the progressions from 90 to 100 percent have got to occur before game day,” said Wade.
“You’ll see him in some training early in the week and we’ll be giving him every chance towards the end of the week to make sure we clear that speed.
“We’re going to tick every box with him before the game, so that if he is fit and available to play that we know he is going to be good to go and not take any risk from that point of view.
“We’re not saving anything in the tank from a training point of view, we’re going to make sure we clear him during the week, at the moment he’s progressing really well, we’re just going to have to wait and see where that lands come Thursday’s main training session.
After kicking two crucial goals in Collingwood’s Preliminary Final victory, Daniel McStay will miss the Grand Final through a medial ligament injury to his knee.
“It’s medial ligament injury somewhere between that grade two and grade three mark, similar to Steele Sidebottom earlier in the year and Darcy Cameron,” said Wade.
“His return timeframe is around that six-to-eight-week mark, obviously that puts us into the off-season. It won’t affect his off-season running at all, he’ll be able to get to running in about a month’s time and be able to complete a really good off-season and we don’t foresee any issues leading into the pre-season.
“It won’t require any surgery, it’s a standard process which we’ve done before.”
Ash Johnson has started running after breaking his arm during the VFL Elimination Final. The forward is completing a training program in preparation for pre-season.
Will Kelly is back to running and weights following surgery to his wrist, as he preps himself for training programs across the off-season and 2024 pre-season.

Jarrod Wade B&F at Collingwood for 2023. We’ve had a bad history for soft tissue injuries over the last 10 years but this bloke is clearly doing something right. To be this close to a full list in the season finale is a great performance. Lock him in and give him a pay rise.

Collingwood confirms Vice-Captain Taylor Adams experienced hamstring awareness at training earlier today and, as a result, will unfortunately be unavailable for selection in the 2023 Toyota AFL Grand Final to played at the MCG this Saturday.
Adams initially suffered a low-grade hamstring injury during a training session held on Friday, September 15.
General Manager of Football Graham Wright expressed the Club’s disappointment in the prognosis.
“Unfortunate news for Taylor Adams who experienced hamstring awareness during training today which will see him miss the Grand Final,” Wright said.
“Taylor is an ultimate professional and a true leader both on and off the field and we will wrap our arms around him and continue to support him this week.
“Taylor was incredibly eager to be out there with his teammates and left no stone unturned in his rehabilitation and recovery and we all share in his disappointment.”
