If the angry Dees players are honest with themselves, they’re angry because they think it cost them the game and a prelim berth (top midfielder down, Petracca had to play mid so also lost a key forward, etc). Pretty much what Goodwin was spewing about in the post game presser.

The extraordinarily undisciplined presser from sore loser Goodwin set the agenda. The veneer has cracked for good now; he's the one who has come out of this looking suspect. Fly has his measure alright.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Getting real angry now, real **** off bigtime now.
Lethal is a current board member of the Brisbane Lions, so that’s the hat he’s wearing when he thinks Maynard should be suspended

lihei wrote:All this bullshit about Brayshaw's 'brain scan' 'may not play again' 'career over' will sink Maynard. Then of course, Brayshaw rocks up in Round 1 next year.
We're all united in wanting to see Bruzzy play, that is known.

But that's a poor take on an acknowledged condition impacting Brayshaw.
The clear protocol here is to manage player safety, that is a seperate issue.
Would you take that into a tribunal defence? C'mon, if you have had a brain trauma, let alone multiple concussions, might you get a MRI? Might a specialist recommend you don't play again as a result.
We've just had a no 1 draft pick retire due to that exact impact. Ask John Platten for his take.
Brayshaw was knocked out for 2 minutes.

The media have every right to take a position on this, as we do.
If you can't separate the hubris to allow for the process and attached comment, don't be outraged if it happens to one of our own.
The media won't have influence on this other than sparking clicks and discussion.

The tribunal and the court of appeal, we'll that's another matter altogether and either way, the outcome will be a bigger discussion over the next fortnight than it is now.

Can anyone here clear this up?

I'm assuming the tribunal tonight will be run and judged by the AFL?

If so, he will get weeks. The AFL obviously want to make a statement, hence over riding MRO. Now, they have done their bit to condone concussions and therefore not get sued down the track.

If this happens, we obviously appeal. I assume it will be an independent legal body? If so, hopefully common sense prevails and Bruz is cleared.

Look it's simply gone too far.

First the cr@p from Cornes inciting GinniHate and the media lynching.

Then the ugly scenes as a young prodigy is mobbed by opposition players and bullied around with not a peep from the media.

Now Maynard is being railroaded.

The media have a blood lust for Collingwood and it's time to kick them out of the rooms and to stop doing after game interviews.

NO MEDIA ACCESS AT ALL.
