What have the Dogs got that we might want? (Not Treloar)
Aaron Naughton is the prize recruit that I would be very happy to bring to Collingwood. He would add the marking power in the forward line that we are lacking at present.
Where is the 2 top ten picks you would need to get that deal done?

Have we had any indications that that's the case? He's on the extended bench, which at least suggests that he's not totally in the dog house, but I wouldn't necessarily assume he's in the 23.

The fact is, since the umpires stopped giving any frees to Ginni, his goal output dried up considerably. He is still a skilful high impact goal sneak, but since the arrival of Bobby Hill, he is no longer automatically in our best 23.

Look this output of goals from free kicks is not the only reason for his dry spell. In Castlemaine footy, he kicked multiple goals from playing good football and being evasive and mercurial in his ability to score. I think that he is down on confidence and that can be remedied. Class is permanent.
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm
Collingwood is interested in 30 year old Port Adelaide ruckman, Scott Lycett
Hard to image why we would want such a trade but...
"...Lycett is an unrestricted free agent in 2023 and wouldn't cost the Magpies any trade capital. The veteran tall played a key role in the 2018 Grand Final for West Coast, defeating Collingwood before making the switch to Port Adelaide."
I fully agree. The player managers have been using this “interest from Collingwood” bullshit for years and honestly, we should all know this by now and ignore it as crap. I only get excited when a deal is done and dusted. Until then it’s a grain of salt stuff and time for skepticism.

Ash Johnson to shun interest from opposition clubs & remain loyal to Collingwood. Ash will re-commit to the Pies in a new deal to be announced shortly.
