Leppitsch said McRae was in no danger of missing the trip west to face the Eagles with the illness that kept him from the club on Wednesday.
"He's just a little unwell," Leppitsch said of McRae.
"It's not bad. You just figure stay away, obviously things can get contagious, potentially, so nothing that's going to stop him from being there this weekend. He'll be fine by the time we get on the plane."

Don’t think they said. Has ranged from 4-8 weeks. Think we have depth and this is a good chance for guys coming back or rookies to get a go.Johnno75 wrote:So have the club actually said what grade MCL injury Steele has suffered?
Gawn only missed 3 games and Cameron 6. So is Steeles worse or could we get him back in 6 or less.
Noted they didn’t list Elliott in the injury list - presume he’s actually being “rested” but has a sore shoulder?
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...

MCL Tear - How long does it take to fully recover from an MCL tear?
The time it takes to fully recover from an MCL tear depends on how severe the tear is. A grade 1 (mild) MCL tear usually heals within one to three weeks. A grade 2 (moderate) MCL tear generally takes four to six weeks to heal with treatment. A grade 3 (severe) MCL tear can take six weeks or more to heal with treatment. If you undergo surgery to fix your MCL tear, it could take longer.

Ok I’m hearing that his MCL was slightly more damaged than they originally thought
The extended time is due to minor damage to the PCL their hoping rest will help it
He will get further scans next week to see how it’s healing
He could still be back in around 4 weeks if the PCL heals quick
The 8 week time frame is precautionary in case the PCL doesn’t heal as quick as hoped
Sidey has shown over his journey he is a good healer so here’s hoping the knee flows the script

Anyone notice that our injury recovery time frames are always on the maximum end for any given injury? Oliver does his hammy and is back in 2, if our players do a hammy it is 4. Gawn is back after 3 weeks for a knee, Cameron 6, Sidey potentially 8. McStay does a finger tendon instead of a dislocation and has to do months of hand therapy to regain movement. Howe catastrophic fracture only seen in mva, he list goes on....

Beau McCreery (foot) - Subbed out of the game. Was iced up.
Will Hoskin-Elliott (ankle) - Awkward landing. Don't think he played any more part of the game when the injury was sustained.
Ash Johnson (corked leg) - Played the game out, so should be fine.

McCreery may be 'Doubtful' for King's Birthday- they certainly won't play anyone less than 100% fit.
Will Hoskin-Elliott- was riding the warm up bike for the last ten min Utes of the game in case he was required on the field- this is not something you generally do if your ankle is shot- will play against the Dees.
Johnson- henceforth known as 'Lazarus'. That was one hell of a corkie that he got, but credit to the guy, he is tough and went back on the field. Ok, he did not do much, but if it was really bad, he doesn't go back out there-
The 9 day break will help Hoskin-Elliott and Johnson get over the line.
Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away...
McCreery and Hoskin-Elliott were joking and laughing on the bench in the last term...so I am assuming from body language neither were too much to be worried about.warburton lad wrote:Agreed.Jezza wrote:Beau McCreery (foot) - Subbed out of the game. Was iced up.
