My God how funny was that interview?!Pies4shaw wrote:A special shout out to WHE - in his post-match interview (on ABC radio), he admitted to being a lifelong Pies supporter and expressed his extra satisfaction at playing in a winning team against Carlton.
He is a real character indeed, must be a great guy to have in the squad, what a legend...pretty good player as well just quietly

Watching the replay with the cut aways to the Carlton fans all but in tears...If I had the time and gumption I would love to create a clip with Blues fan faces during their bad losses all set to Mad World (T4F version)....maybe thats just me

If you want to see what’s really wrong with Carlton go to the 3rd term
Cripps is heading to the bench Voss in “coaching” from sideline
Cripps arrives at the bench and he has a visible verbal disagreement with Voss
Volos is trying to point and make a statement Cripps is shanking his head and pointing differently
This is exactly what’s wrong
The players don’t buy into Voss plan and Cripps as captain doesn’t show support to the coaches plan obviously
If the captain doesn’t support the plan why would the players
Cripps thinks he’s bigger than the club
He was gifted a Brownlow last year is a disgrace now he wants the entire game plan to revolve around him and making him look good without having to work hard
Conversely McRae coaches from the bench and has calm conversations with the players as they come off
He’s seen to speak to them all from the skipper to last man picked in the 22
If someone comes off and has had a couple errors he gives them a slap on the back makes a small joke and smiles at them
It has a obvious affect on them because rarely do they go back out and make the same mistake again
Leadership is the biggest asset a coach has at his disposal during the game

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

It's pretty funny, but a little part of me couldn't help but wonder if it was a prank call.Ronnie McKeowns boots wrote:May I lay this offering at the altar of suffering:

12th with Melbourne and Essendon to come.
Their salary cap will be bursting at the seams with the likes of McKay, Curnow, Cerra, Cripps, Walsh etc….and they are kicking just 6 to 7 goals a game.
That Rnd 23 loss will cut deep for a while.
