I don’t have any facts but this is probably optimistic. While it was a leg and not an arm it cost broomhead a year. Hopefully he can get back later in the season.Take_a_Screamer wrote:6 weeks to mend and he'll be back.Pies4shaw wrote:Howe looks to have broken his arm.

Gosh I'm happy with that, I was expecting best part of the year. If he could come back in 8-10, it's less of a load on an older top gun player to hopefully storm home with us into the finals series in the back half. Speedy recovery Howey!qldmagpie67 wrote:Being reported Howe will undergo surgery tomorrow and expected to miss between 5 weeks (best scenario) and 3 months (worst scenario)
Until the open it up I guess they won’t know exactly if there’s other damage
Best wishes in a speedy recovery to Howe
Billy Picken, the great No. 25 in the sky!

who thinks we are having a bad run with injuries so far look it’s only round 1 we already have lost lipinski Howe and kruger
It’s like way to early
There seams to be each week someone’s sustained an injury
I feel this will cost us
But we have depth
Just a bit done with injuries
They keep occurring
Lipinski should never had happened

Injury Update: Round 2
After a competitive game on Friday night, High Performance Manager Jarrod Wade has provided an update on the status of our injury list.
Key defender Jeremy Howe sustained a compound fracture after a marking contest during the third quarter of our Round One match against Geelong. He has undergone surgery and is now resting at home. The Club will provide an update on his rehabilitation and return to play timeline in the next couple of weeks.
In positive news, midfielder Patrick Lipinski is now out of his sling and will return to light duties in the coming weeks. Lipinski dislocated his shoulder during our practice match against Hawthorn.
Tall-forward Nathan Kreuger is progressing with his rehab after undergoing a reconstruction on his right shoulder in January. It will be another 4-5 weeks before he returns to full contact training.
Young midfielders Harvey Harrison and Finlay Macrae have returned to full training this week after their respective preseason injuries. Both will take part in the Club's first VFL game this Saturday at Victoria Park.
Meanwhile, Aiden Begg will unfortunately miss this weekend's VFL game with back soreness. He will be re-assessed ahead of next week's game.
Arlo Draper has progressed well since his concussion late in the preseason. He will return to full contact training once he is completely symptom free and cleared by club doctors.
Defender Charlie Dean continues to recover from his foot surgery, which has sidelined him for the 2023 season.
