It’s terrible bad luck the boy and once all repaired will be back

But likewise there is a chance for us to unearth another valuable player to string enough games together to build a future

I’ve put this in injury post re. Ash Johnson fitness

Apparently came back to the club after off season in terrible shape

It’s expected him to spend VFL time till he gets his body to AFL standards

9 goals, 22 goal assists (and countless other scoring opportunities created by his skilful ball-use) and over 22 disposals per game (his 551 disposals were 4th-most for the Club in 2022). Lipinski will not be readily replaced.

I’m losing patience these days
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️

That would be disappointing if correct considering the pathway he’s taken to get to the AFL. Hope he doesn’t throw it away.

Looks like we need to add MacRae and Harrison to the injury list.
MacRae is still a couple weeks away rehabbing from a lower back issue, while Harrison continues to recover from a standard hamstring injury.

In the injury report on Collingwood TV a mention of Charlie Dean

They are leaving no stone unturned to get him right for 2024

They have have surgeons and foot doctors investigating his condition and a plan is in progress to realign parts of his feet so this injury never occurs again

Good luck Charlie

its a pretty thin injury list at the moment. with a bit of luck it can stay that way, although we have more depth this year (thank last) I think. Even having guys fit and playing in the VFL allows them to continue to develop (Will Kelly, Bianco, Ruscoe, Begg etc.)
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...
