Doubt he will be back for the rest of the season, need to take the required time to strengthen if its been a reoccurring issue...luckily we have a few of his type if not consistency

Lots of chat that it opens up a slot for Carmichael or McInnes. Not sure McInnes is a like for like…
Also, not sure no practice matches helps - surely he would have done this in rd 1 instead? I’m more interested in how we can have two players (Pat and Kreuger) require a second shoulder reco after the first. We don’t know the facts around their circumstances or their rehab, but surely a review of the rehab plans will be in order.

It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...

Bad news to hear about Lipinski but not to worry. Midfielders on tier two are much easier to replace than a JDG or Pendles. We have plenty in reserve now and I am sure someone will step up and do a fine job while he mends. We have midfield depth now and all key positions covered. We are ready to go with no excuses. Looking forward to seeing the team develop in 2023.
RED "BABY" CAVANAUGH: Didn't hear what the bet was.

McInnes definitely not a like for a like...Lipinski has played far many more AFL games, and has demonstrated very quality at this level, while McInnes has not.piffdog wrote:Lots of chat that it opens up a slot for Carmichael or McInnes. Not sure McInnes is a like for like…

But McInnes has his own distinct assets, and with the possibility of Tay Adams drifting forward, maybe a new dynamic will unfold in our F50.
All we can say is that Reef has the chance now to stamp his mark in the team.
Free Julian Assange!!

Well McInnes is definitely a like for like when it comes to shoulder reco’s.

Nothing good comes out of them.
Train, and then go straight into it. Add a couple of extra rounds of the AFL want. But no more practice matches.
If that were the case then we wouldn’t be organizing unofficial practice matches eg Carlton the other week. 16 teams took that option.
This could have happened in an intraclub or, as someone pointed out, in the opening minute of round 1 which would have forced us to activate our sub early
