Off field Ginnivan seems very similar to Sier.
Time for him to pull his head in of field or he could fall by the wayside very very quickly.

Haven't seen the video, off season in January so assume some "party" drugs.

When every dickhead is basically a Paparazzi in waiting, if you're going to do anything dumb, do it at home in your bedroom alone.

Love Ginni as a player, but he’s a damn idiot.

This club can’t go through an off-season without being plagued by a scandal somewhere.

The goal-kicking young gun admitted on Saturday that he had taken drugs recently in the Torquay Hotel toilets, on a day off after the club’s pre-season camp on Victoria’s Surf Coast. He said “a few drinks and a lack of judgement” had let him down.

Seven News was provided with video of Ginnivan at the hotel, sparking an investigation from the network.

And just like that, Bobby Hill can’t believe his luck. Hope he grabs his chance and allows Jack to acquaint himself with his VFL team mates for a greater part of the season.

Come on down Bobby Hill- you have been gifted a senior berth by this event.

The illicit substance thing is just ridiculous- I hope that Ginnivan does not go the way of another talented forward pocket who wore the number 35 in 2018.

If I were the Leadership group, I would be busting this player's balls on and off the track. He owes his peers big time.

Let's see if he has the character to bounce back from this- can you imagine opposition supporters (who loathe him already) giving it to Ginnivan after this???

There is a sign in our clubrooms that says "You either stand for something, or you stand for nothing..."

Let's see where this kid ends up.

Piss him off from the team and swap him for a similar player who is far more mature and intelligent. Until then, let Booby Hill perform his magic ✅

To be clear, I'm a fan of Ginnivan, I love what the kid brings. Young people can do dumb things, deal with it and move on.

Is this the way to prevent him repeating the behaviour? I’m not sure.

he's had to front up, admitted to it, and deal with the fall out including being publicly vilified on social media, missing 2 games and being fined. That there's some reasonable deterrents.

Rather than crucifying a young person for doing what young people do, find the cnut who took the video and sent it to the media and make him manscape with a cheese grater.
