#21 Oscar Steene
Some great heart warming footage here, with Fly announcing Oscar Steene has taken the final spot on our list.

"The Machine" was one of the 4 players whom trained with us over the summer, looking to secure a Cat A spot.
Some great footage of him during training, positions his frame well in the ruck contests, and layed a cracking tackle which got the boys fired up. From oberving the way he moves, looks a natural talent.
Unfortunately, Begg was the one on the receiving end of all of it.
From limited footage, certainly makes you want to see more.

Unallocated guernesys no.34, Bruzzy's vacated no.37 or The Madge no.44?
Welcome, The Steene Machine, wishing you a long and fruitful career with the CFC.

Of what I've seen of him on the training track, and from his playing footage, he looms as a Ruck / Fwd option. What I've seen him do well is consistently get his body to the front position. I can't recall the coach, but I recall them saying "if you're a big man, play as a big man", and Steene exhibits that trait.
If a Ruckman consistantly drifts forward during a game to kick a brace of goals, they automatically loom as a real match-up problem for opposition sides.
A great development prospect.

Marvellous. Welcome to Collingwood OS. Hope you have a long and distinguished career at the Pies. There seems to be differing accounts as to his height. A Collingwood 6 footer takes on new meaning in the 2020’s…

Good list management decision. We were vulnerable in the ruck area, albeit that a 19 year old won’t likely help us in the immediate short term.
His junior notes have him as a strong mark and it’s his ruck craft and game awareness that need more polishing. Hopefully there’s some positional flexibility to work with but you usually end up as a ruckman when you lack the agility or mobility for a key position
