Agree, even if he misses the season we have Dean, Kelly and Frampton.Pies2016 wrote:^^^
Let’s put this in perspective. The key to this illness is detecting it early and that’s what the club has done.
They will treat it with antibiotics and if it’s successful ( very likely ) that means no invasive surgery will be required. At least we some coverage for these key positions in 2023.

In regards to coverage, others may play the position but no one is capable of playing the Darcy role. It would be a huge loss.
Totally agree, he’s one of the best at his craft but we are at least in a better position to fill his spot in the interim. You could also add one of either Krueger or McStay onto the above list as a quick fix replacement. If you can still scrounge wins without your A graders, it helps to take the pressure off these guys having to return early. The same can be said for Adams now that we have a like for like with Mitchell on the list. We all know depth helps to keep the team competitive but it also buys you time to rehab your injured players properly.themonk wrote:Serious illness picked up early and fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.Quincy wrote:Agree, even if he misses the season we have Dean, Kelly and Frampton.Pies2016 wrote:^^^

Well I agree we have recruited a bit more experience so ready made types like Mitchell can step up, likewise McStay and Framption may prove a steal. They are insurance against injuries to top 22 players. If Moore misses the whole season, it might be also the making of Kelly and Dean, let alone Frampton.Pies2016 wrote:Totally agree, he’s one of the best at his craft but we are at least in a better position to fill his spot in the interim. Latest news is that Moore and DeGoey are both recovering very well and will resume with the rest of the team when they come back in Jan.
Maynard and Lipinski are also on track for full training in the new year, while Adams has continued to improve in line with his rehab program.
Slightly different tact but still around training, I’m hearing Hill is ripping it up at training and Quaynor is the big improver on the fitness KPIs.

This was reported in the Herald Sun yesterday by the journalist who watched our training.Magpietothemax wrote:Reported by LukeSwoop on Twitter that Nathan Kreuger has shoulder soreness and will have scans to determine the extent of the issue that has restricted him to light exercise over the past week.

I'm hoping Kreuger's shoulder won't become the Lee Walker knee equivalent. Just want to see the lad get an opportunity to string a body of games together.Quincy wrote:This was reported in the Herald Sun yesterday by the journalist who watched our training.Magpietothemax wrote:Reported by LukeSwoop on Twitter that Nathan Kreuger has shoulder soreness and will have scans to determine the extent of the issue that has restricted him to light exercise over the past week.
Hopefully the comparison that both played at near the same height, body weight and frame, ends there.
