Exactly. Their premiership list was well and truly in place before Wright had any say with lost management. He is responsible for their fortunes post the flags - 0 finals wins since 15. No surprise he jumped shipped to the only club willing to buy his crap.
The bloke is a mercenary and will set back Collingwood 20-30 years.

You are talking crap, find another board to troll.

A woman made a genuine claim against dusty, they should have stood him down!
So your saying the claim was false? It was withdrawn AFTER he. Got the sleaze ball lawyers involved, we should probably check his bank account before jumping to that conclusion. So now 2 woman have made false claims? Mate you wanna buy a frisbee?
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

It was withdrawn the next day, but of course you'll claim the whole thing has been paid off. Yet despite the outrage when it first happened, he escapes without even a conviction and given a slap on the wrist probably so the prosecution can save some face by charging him with something.
The first charge was brought up with zero reason after it was decided there was nothing to warrant it in the first place, yet someone reinstated it years later before it was yet again thrown out of court.
Maybe they did get paid off, maybe he attracts people looking for a cheap pay day? But I wouldn't make those baseless allegations like you do about JDG.
So Dusty was accused and he wasn't stood down or turned on? So that's what happens at successful clubs, must be nice.
JDG is our greatest player! This whole thing in the US is now over. He is innocent and must receive a full apology from the Club and restored to full playing duties . How dare the Club make him work part time for the Salvo’s. I wouldn’t be surprised if he walked over this.
I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

The Club was required to appease the Court by putting in place a rehabilitative program for JDG acceptable to the Court. That it has now done.
Not sure either of these are right. The club does not have to appease the court - the two parties dont have anything to do with each other. Did your boss from Woolies have to organise for you to pick up rubbish on your lunch break to have a charge dropped/lowered?
The articles I read suggested that he would likely be able to get the charge downgraded if he could find a suitable community service program here in Australia (if he was in the US perhaps the court would have done it for him). If anything, the club may have helped as an intermediary to set up this agreement with the salvos to satisfy a community service order - but I dont think the club have demanded it (although they may have - who knows what else they have demanded of him which hasnt been made public...), and I dont think that the US court made the club set it up.
Will be interested to see if he serves any match suspensions (ordered by the club) - doesnt sound like it. If they were going to do that wouldn't they announce it at the same time?
There's a lot of different views on this board (which were all entitled to). I dont mind that the club stood him down. He's had form and found himself in another bad situation. Case is resolved and they have welcomed him back. If he is upset at how the club treated him then he can exercise his free will and leave. Club is bigger than any player, and there will be plenty more JDG's walk through the doors in future.
