We have decent enough players. Which means this is ALL coaching. What else can it be???
That’s a good point about our defence. But our delivery into the forward line was abysmal. It basically cost us the game.

Get a couple back for finals and we have them no worries
We wont play them again.
How could you possibly know that?If we do play them with four or five stars back I think we will win quite comfortably. They’re nothing special
Yeah nah. We're nothing special either. Mediocre and middle of the road. Have been since buckley came along. Give us 5 of our stars and we'd still find a way to butcher the arse out of the game.

Time and time again we coughed the ball up going forward and lined up an opposition player rather than a team mate. Bad kicking is bad football. Our skills and decision making let us down. Too much handball and kicks to the feet above the head, you name it. If we make the finals we won't hurt anyone because all you need to do to beat us to to bully us and we falter. Blame the draw, blame injuries, blame the full mood, blame the fkucking humidity, this loss is on the players who squandered countless opportunities to score.

13 days long rest to a mere 5 speaks for itself. Lions werent that great either, on their own pissing ground and have only travelled 3 times this season. :?

Agree Bucks. It was a stalemate for the second half. They were unable to overrun us, despite their advantage. This loss will not erode our confidence (like other losses have). While of course I would have preferred a win, this is the second best option. We were not beaten by much, and we have many guns out.
Need to win next match. Then by the PA game, we might have a few guns back.

I really don’t know about that. You don’t think DeGoey,Howe,Sidebottom,.Treloar would have made a difference tonight?

Richmond with a just above average squad have won two Premierships in 3 years. We used to laugh at them.

We are shit. Biggest underperforming club in the world. Buckley has NO IDEA to change a game plan.

It's because the AFL is in a very weak era and they've worked out how to avoid injuries.

Fully agree, the Bears aint that great, on their own pissing ground after a huge break, us on 4 day break, so much for a level playing field, we looked tired and jaded tonight. Yep, load up for post bye now, come back hard.

Ah come on, they're professional footballers and they're paid to hit targets. We probably squandered more chances going forward than we hit targets and that's what pisses me off. It's our ineptitude and we turn the ball over with ease. It's not good enough. Everything we achieved last week was undone in 4 quarters tonight.

As I wrote in the pre season, our defence is an A+
Our mids are A-

Our forwards are a D+

A teams best players need to be either in the midfield or forward. It’s a rule that applies to most sports including football.

The talent is forward, the battlers down back...::unfortunately our team is the other way around.

Just remember the Hawks a few years ago. Sensational forward line that piled on the only pressure that matters, scoreboard pressure.
Their defence at the time was littered with average players who weren’t exposed for their lack of ability cause of their dominant teammates up the field

If I was the AFL, I would be worried after tonight.

A night Grand Final at the Gabba in humid conditions is a terrible spectacle waiting to happen.
