Oh no please. If you think we're playing boring footy now, Roos would be a disaster. Bucks has just got to let the players play more on instinct like he did last year. For some reason he's reverted to the awful style we displayed in 2017. It's like the players are all so afraid to make a mistake they do. The controlling Bucks has resurfaced again this year. I remember last year he smiled a lot more and really loosened up. The players seemed to enjoy the experience more as well.

We will be there abouts when whips are cracking.
Our best form is ahead of us
Varcoe and goldy are finished
The only player that might help is adams
The rest are hale mary's.
Howe and Langdon would be big help too.
If rest doesn't help the medial lingament then he needs an op.
Howe has been ordinary this year.
But the problem is not defence.
The defence has been great.
It is the mids and forward who have really struggled.

This is what I noticed throughout the game.... we were playing a massively defensive game...a Swans' like game...flood the opposition F50, grind the ball out, and then hope that a chaos ball forward will result in us scoring from an open F50. But of course we have nowhere near the same practice and skill as the Swans in executing such a plan, a plan which we seem to have adopted last week. WTF are we doing??? If our boys were instructed to play like that, then all i can say is that the coaches are negligent, because they are not showing enough faith in our guys. FFS, these young men almost won a GF last year.masoncox wrote:Yes 1 minute to go and outnumbered 5 to 1 in the forward line.Raw Hammer wrote:The fact that our forward line is basically a 1 v 3 EVERY time means something ain’t right. The fact that players steaming from defence through the wing look up and still kick to a heavily outnumbered forwardline means we are eithe dumb, or are extremely dumb. I just don’t get it. I also don’t get how with 45 secs to go, out forwardline was a 1 v 5 ??? A quick kick from the middle simply falls in a Hawk lap. Game over. Is there ANY leadership in he middle? Clearly the lack of runners has completely destroyed our dumb as sh!t team. Sorry, but we have mostly dumb F footballers in our team. One of the lowest IQ levels across the competition.
And we are 3 points down.
Beyond belief and beyond intelligence. absolutely poor coaching or poor leadership...take your pick.

It's hard to fathom such a loss of form isn't MTTM, but I am convinced it's psychological. Only the players can fix that with some honest, put it all out there discussion.Magpietothemax wrote: hopefully it is not a psychological rot such as the one that corroded Adelaide after their GF loss. I am gutted. Sorry to all. I am just really blown over by the fall in form, and our inability to respond tonight.
Interesting that you mention the Crows. It's taken them 18 months to recover some zip. I really wish supporters would appreciate that the players are human, not robots. To lose a GF the way we did last year, would crush the spirit of most of us. We haven't lost talent and skill, we've just lost belief and that's not unexpected, given that reality can be so bloody cruel.

I'm not so sure that Bucks wants them to play this way - the players have just gone into their shells.BHPIE wrote:Sadly our players don't lack heart , it direction, last yr was great , but Bucks saw it as justifcation of of his failed yrs , n has gone back to that game plan , back sideways , repeat let opponents get in defense, slow ball movement kills this team
Our runners/outside players are heavily tagged so our ability to breakaway from a stoppage is nearly always under pressure.
We did this to teams last year but this year we have gone back to the previous years tactic of marking space.
Last I checked, space has never ever kicked a goal in the history of football.
