Funny was thinking the other day I agree with Carey more often than not.....SwansWay wrote:Carey's been pretty complimentary towards the Pies since getting back into the media. I actually think he's one of the more astute AFL TV personalities.K wrote:Carey is our friend.
After the round-10 publicity, there was a small blip (improvement) for a week or two, right? If so, timing may be critical.

He goes against the grain a lot too. I remember he was the only member of the media in early 2017 to speak the truth about how overrated Josh Jenkins was in relation to a reported offer from Brisbane.MJ23 wrote:Funny was thinking the other day I agree with Carey more often than not.....SwansWay wrote:Carey's been pretty complimentary towards the Pies since getting back into the media. Like it, retweet it, but for your own health don't read the retarded comments.
It's kind of distant camera, but even in just that first example it looks like his opponent has both arms wrapped around MC as the kick comes I50.

I'm curious about the Clubs position on this whole Mason Cox Free Kick deal!
Other clubs have historically been bold enough to liaise directly with the AFL and Umpiring Dept, over treatment to their respective players.
CFC position is to seemingly do it by stealth or osmosis i.e. Let media folk raise it in the hope someone is listening! That said, i'm actually not convinced someone from the club hasn't made a call!! To be honest i would view this as purely exercising 'due diligence'!
Sat arvo at the SCG will tell i guess!

It's extraordinary that he's only had 4 free kicks inside 50 all year. With his size and being our main target player you'd expect far more.
There's no doubt that teams are seriously worried about his potential impact. As he gets smarter about avoiding some of these tactics and we get smarter about isolating him, he's only going to get more dangerous. I seriously see him as one of the best target men in the comp and that's why I'm not fussed over the Lynch signing.
