Re: Bux says Cox is hard done by!
To be fair, he was led there by a reporter and he danced around the issue very artfully. to be clear, he agreed with the reporters assertion rather than raised it unprompted and all he said was that he was confident that the umpires will start adjuducating Mason more fairly, once it becomes a little clearer all of the illegal ways that teams will try to stoop him getting the ball.masoncox wrote:Listening to the Bux presser.
He clearly indicated that there is an issue with the way
the opposition is targeting Cox at the marking contest.
Time to whinge relentlessly with the the AFL maggots.
It seemed to me that the bulldogs were tunneling him a lot, many times, clearly illegally. There is also a lot of arm chopping.
The problem is that if the defender is professional enough they will always get away with it due to the inherent bias that exists against Collingwood. Seriously, Collingwood players get pinged from dropping the ball if the ball is knocked out of their hand the moment they possess it. they just dont call that both ways. There were numerous times this was a no call the other way.
On one occassion, they pinged greenwood for holding the man, when his man had the ball at the start of the tackle, didn't have it at the end, and didn't legally dispose of it. How the hell is that even possible??????

Cox is crucified every week.
Any advantage he has is nullified.
He's big, he plays for Collingwood, and he didn't grow up playing the game.
So any free kick always goes against him.
I'm not saying he's the best player ever to pull on a boot,
but he's definitely not getting a fair crack at the moment.

The Cox report was total bullshit. Johannisen is a great player but in this instance it was poor play from him in being unable to gather the ball and he had his head hanging over the ball. What's Cox supposed to do? Pause the game while Johannisen wakes up from his slumber and finally manages to pick up the ball? Secondly the AFL is right to protect the players from being subjected to head injuries by opposition players coming in with the hip or shoulder and connecting with the player's head. So exactly what was the damage to the head of Johannisen? He immediately got up! Think what damage Cox could have done with his 6'10" frame to the head of Johannisen?

Ling is the bloke I hate listening to the most. Biggest Collingwood hater/Geelong lover going round. Hates us more than Ron Barassi does.E wrote:did you see how hard Cameron Ling worked to beat up the Cox report so he would get weeks.
Carey quite rightly said, "pretty light contact" "might not have even gotten the head". Ling jumps in a says - yes but this is a dangerous tackle and this is what we need to stamp out. The kid has gotta go for that!
he just hates Collingwood. Should not be allowed to commentate collingwood games. Too much bias.
