And why do you think that is, you muppet?Simon@bustoff7

Collingwood threw more money at Trelor than Carlton have spent on all those players combined.
We traded the world for him, and not your hand-me-down 2nd-rate Oompa Loompa offcasts that Silvagni collects like Pokemon cards...

Treloar is on about 800k if rumours are right.piedys wrote:And why do you think that is, you muppet?Simon@bustoff7

If those 6 Carlton players are on 800k or less combined, is it any wonder they can't be bothered?
Oh and why aren't Sumner and Jackshit on that list. There was another player too, yeah?
While I'm here...
Big 4 teams don't play at Geelong.
12 months ago I would have said the Big 4 was us, Essington, Carrrton and Hawthorn, with Richmong missing out on account of their 3.5 decades of irrelevance. With the Tiggers getting the flag though, their bandwagon runneth over and so they probably earned their spot back.
It's time to stop thinking of the Blues as a Big 4 club. It's time to merge them up with North and send them to Hobart in navy blue and white stripes so that in the rain and the gloom, they can convince themselves that they are Collingwood. It's what their fans really want after all. Imagine if Brayshaw was still CEO. His Eddie fantasy would be complete.
I had a Doggies fan drop by my desk just now. He said: "Gee it was a pretty good crowd there on Friday night. 38,000 or something".
I snorted. Collingwood home game on a Friday night. 55,000 would have turned up if it was at the G and that's after 5 years of mediocrity on our behalf.
I look forward to the Friday nights where 38,000 turn up to Carlton's home game against us at Etihad and they too think it's a good thing because this week, they might just have been able to make dollar 1.

I think the quality of their effort against the Swans is to be applauded. They played their hearts out during the first half and gave their supporters hope by leading at half time. There's no point in them being thrashed dismally from the start of every game because their supporters wouldn't watch. So, fun and all as it is to see them be hopelessly non-competitive most weeks, it's good to see them keep their supporters watching for an hour or so before the team collapses in a dismal heap.

I must say I am most satisfied at Carlton being 18th on the ladder. About to order the wooden spoon, useful for stirring all the sad carlscum fans...
