No he will not, he won't start full training until at least December.

It would be utterly stupid to let Jamie join in training on day one of pre season, there is simply no need for him to stress his back that early.

The club and Jamie won't really know if he has a future or not until early next year when he steps up his training to a high level once again.

Any rumours until then are just that, rumours.

Going after Mayne suggests to me that there is a genuine concern at Elliott's prospects of a return. Hope I'm wrong.

Rubbish.

Spoke to him on Friday night and he was very up beat and adamant his back is almost 100% now.

One thing I took out of a report during the year was his injury is one that will never be fixed but can be managed.

So sure he may get himself to 98% but he will need to manage day to day for the rest of his career and life after footy.

Obviously may also re-aggravate at some stage too.

Again, unless you have concrete evidence, this is pure speculation RB.
Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

Having screws in your back, when a large part of your game is arching your back and taking overhead screamers, must be a worry. I hope he fully recovers, but I am skeptical.
