That's one record I'd love to beat, beating Hawthorn 29 times in a row.

The last time Carlton beat Hawthorn was round 6 2005.

Carlton salvage the weekend with a 71 point loss to the Saints, which is their biggest losing margin of the season.

TankingCarlton and BigFooty posts coming soon...

TankingCarlton...
This is as bad as you'll see
BB year so far C-
Malthouse was the worst coach in the clubs history and we have barely improved
We're inventing new ways to @#$%&! up the forward 50 entry.
Beach Volleyball on - Send Boekhurst there
The skill level of this current team is very poor by foot and hand.
Carbon copy of last game....we just can't match up well against the saints.
not even VFL quality, this
This is what happens when you work hard for no reward week after week with the worst forward line in the AFL
Mexico v Syria womens table tennis is better than this
application a total fail today
This is simply effort. Gone away from the past months efforts and commitment.
Disgusting effort
it's almost as if they've come in straight from metro footy
Wouldn't be surprised if we lose next week. Heat will be on the Lions, we often really struggle in Qld, short break, third interstate trip in four weeks plus we're really shit....
method and application we've seen all year non-existent today

did something happen at training this week...?
Dumb selection too. Ran us off our feet last time and doing it again.
I don't think we are too slow, or not working hard enough.

I think we're spent. Arse end of the season, and we've faced some of the best in the business and come up just short a few times.
As I keep saying, we just are not very good, made worse with the toll of a long season
Those 3 honorable losses against top 8 sides now are a distant memory.
Say what you like we have not improved at all this year.
Malthouse was a terrible coach Bolton should be doing a lot better
I am just gobsmacked at thre lack of effort.
Oh no! The board is turning on Bolton now! I feel a sakc thread coming on.
We have been polishing a turd all season and done ok, today we have seen its still a turd
I think we have to be honest. We do have a lot of very ordinary players out there today. I say about 2 thirds of them would not be on any other teams list let alone playing in the firsts.
close the roof !!!
Wrong ground my friend. Your mob played at the MCG!
Insipid. Embarrassing.
This is Fevola at fullback-esque
And here I was hoping it could not get any worse....
Saints have done what Carlton refused to do and that is
draft kids and not give away early picks
The more I watch this year, I do wonder how we get back to the top. Might take something really radical, only 6-8 players in my opinion that ain't tradable... Maybe everyone else is.
When pratt bolton trigg start saying we want stars and omeara this will be the end of this rebuild
King
"No real effort, no real flair, no real dash."
Every word correct
If walker is cooked Thomas is scorched.
Why the @#$%&! am I still watching this? Clearly my decision making is questionable. I could get a game in our midfield.
Gutless cats.
Can't spin that. Atrocious on so many levels.

Walks deserved better than that rubbish.

Sadly we might have to face up to the sobering fact that new Carlton is a helluva lot like old Carlton.
WTF is this?

Maybe new Carlton in the end is really just the old Carlton? Which is @#$%&! depressing
We cannot score
6th10 goal plus flogging this year
7th time we have kicked 55 points or less
That went well.
Very well...
Disgraceful on so many levels. So many of these guys need culling.....and we know who they are.
marks inside 50

Carlton 7
StK 27

BigFooty...
Well I guess that's why they call them the Blues...
Come an join Carlton, we want players who:

- Don't play in the forward line.
- Are all talk and no action.
- Can hit a player head high or push them in the back.
- Struggle to get opportunities elsewhere.
- At least play well in the seconds.
- Are ill-disciplined and easily blow steam when the team can't afford losing them.
- Allow the opposition to win the ball via tackling pressure.
- Struggle to get clean possession of the ball in open space.
- Fiddle around with the ball and not push forward.
- Fumble a lot until the opposition are within reach.
- Are no where to be seen on field when needed.
- Kick and hope. Kick long bombs into the 50 to favour extremely inconsistent tall forwards.
- Are easily prone to injury and are unavailable when fans wish to see them play.
- Don't run or create space (Ball-carrier must be the closest to goal when the play cools down).
- Can't kick set shots from 20 metres out in front.
- Dish it off to the team mate under the most pressure.
- Can help with halting the development of talented youngsters, so those youngsters are ready to be traded at their peak.
Off-season can't come fast enough
Please tell me I'm not the only person who just teared up...
Losing doesn't matter at this stage..but our lack of effort was unacceptable
Bolton did say last week he was fed up with honourable losses. Not sure if he meant this.
Hard to find break even players, let alone winners. Some horrendous disposal, matched by equally horrendous decision making. Can only think how terrible the game will be against the Lions.
Who cares?

This time of the year means nothing.
Will get worse before it gets better now.

Did our best work against the serious teams and will now drop our load against the also rans.
Just awful.
MEH.
Saints midfield was always going to be an issue for us.
Shocking display

Left five mins into the third quarter
Fantastic effort by the boys today. Proud of the way they pushed their opponent to the end today.

Now wake me up when we play St. Kilda next week...

... Oh, wait.

Geez I wish we conned Collingwood into taking Kreuzer last year!
Ah yep the Carlton of old came back today.

And all the garbage with it, nice send for Walker guys, hang your heads.
Unfortunately not many positives.

The non existent defensive running murdered us. Out worked, out played and out muscled.

Very disappointing effort.
Not the way a club should farewell one of their favourite sons.
Sad thing is bec of a lack of depth the likes of Casboult and Kerridge will likely continue to get games for another couple years

That's an indictment on the club

Neither of those two can hit the side of a barn
Our worst 2 games of the year (by a considerable margin) have been against the Saints. Hopefully some lessons learnt today in the coaches box.
That's stuffed. Left about 5 minutes into the third quarter and glad I did.
Goes without saying today was ordinary.
Players who we will never go anywhere with

Kreuzer - Hate to say it but he's done
Kerridge- Kicking is awful, too many fumbles
Armfield- see above
Buckley- Nowhere near it
Thomas- Finished
White- Had a few good weeks but has reverted back to type.. a pumpkin.
Rowe- Worst KPD in the comp. Makes Zack Dawson look like Matthew Scarlett
Still fuming about today's game. Need some time to cool off before i post a rational, level headed diagnosis of today's disaster, just feels like a soul destroying performance
Funny how this becomes a delist thread .

Today is the result of 10 or more years of shocking recruitment, admin and list management.

Yes, and the Scum have been belted more times than us this season, and yet we were told boy Bolton was the great white hope. ! Great too see Dollar Daisy continue his shithouse form with them, long may he endure as Caaaaarltons highest paid player. When we lose, its great when they lose a helluva lot worse than us. !

Shortly, it will begin to dawn on them that their most consistent player of the last decade has turned 32 and can't keep doing it week in, week out. Where would they be if you took Simpson's 22 kicks, 17 handballs and 10 marks out of yesterday's thrashing, bearing in mind that they only had five other players who got 10 or more kicks?

What's better than Carlton losing by 40 points?

Carlton trailing by 40, storming back and THEN losing by 4 points, despite having 34 more disposals, more free kicks, more clearances, winning the contested possessions, having 20+ more inside 50s etc etc.

It must be great as a Carlton supporter to know that your team tries it's heart out, brings everything to the contest and dominates all over the ground - but just lacks the finishing class of a Brisbane!

TankingCarlton...
Defensive structure out, end of season drinks in.
who would've thought playing a team of plodders against a quick team on a quick deck would be a bad idea.
What a @#$%&! joke.
This isn't surprising really.

We are a crap side out of form, a dangerous combination
Just draft as many kids as possible
no more rejects from other clubs
anyone else see a bit of Anthony Koutoufides in Liam Jones??

I think we might've found ourselves a player. What a steal.
Bahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Can't even match a club on their knees
I ain't buying any hope today.
Buying another 10 years of rubbish.
I can't do this any more. They have destroyed every last inch of my soul.

Lifelong member and supporter but I will no longer be #BoundByBlue.
We have gone from the cranky old manager who refused to modernise to the PowerPoint manager who says all the right things speaks in riddles about nothing of substance.
It was destined to be a disaster from the start.
You have to have substance you have to know what you are doing because eventually your staff stop listening sales drop off and the opposition exploits you.
Team bonding and talking KPI and looking for little positives is not going to fix this.
We need someone who is a tactical genius to fix this footy club
Yes we're a long way off it of course, but in a list bereft of talent and especially midfield depth, we've dropped right off from the time Murph was injured. Irrefutable.
OMG they may as well play Benny Hill music when we have the ball.
Best Carlton player today - Mitch Robinson.......
If someone says these pack of flowering spuds were 'brave'......
didn't deserve to win
Bombers get spoon now, sos yet to win
The second darkest day in 83 years for the Essendon* Football Club.
Losing the love of the game.
Nicely orchestrated tank.
Thank goodness we can give Brisbane a priority pick...
Learn to kick you @#$%&! Muppets.
i really dont like losing.
really.
Brisbane are a very very ordinary side :P
Pathetic, gutless and shit skills from the team as a whole.
They couldn't beat that rabble even when they couldn't get a touch of the football.
Our foot skills are so shit in front of goal we are just throwing opportunities away and even at the death when cool heads were needed and a bit of system, they just kept doing what has lost them games every week and bombed it long.

Anybody who thinks that last quarter counts for anything is delusional. We are in serious trouble and any amount of love and player involvement from the coach can't make a shit game plan look good. It needs a massive overhaul, especially since it is defence based. Any team defence that lets Brisbane score 7 in a quarter is doing something very wrong.

I am not happy with any team aspect of that debacle. A few individual plusses and that's it.
Melbourne could well beat us by 60 points next week.
That was rubbish.
That was up there with the worst of the previous few years. Brisbane are a rabble but at least they have skilled young talent who can execute. We have barely started to rebuild.
There have been some absolute howlers we are paying the price for
Thomas
Jones
Kreuzer
Jaksch
Whiley
Tutt
White
Dick
Late goals also really killed us.
THAT WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE GREATEST FIGHTBACKS AGAINST A WOODEN SPOON SIDE IN MY LIVING MEMORY
Brave.
So brave...

BigFooty...
More scoring shots, more inside 50s...and we lost... Deserved to lose... Our fault
Ughhhh. I can't even.
Too many passengers. Plenty of heads need to roll at the end of this season.
Only ourselves to blame for that loss. Play like skirts in the first half and thats what you get even against a dead club like Brisbane.
We have a long long long way to go.
Daisy getting Sumner's spot in the team lost us that game... in my opinion.
Music to my ears!
We are still the joke of the competition. 9 consecutive losses now. Disgusting.
Can Thomas retire too?
I'm done watching Carlton this year.
I can't be satisfied with that effort. The first half was putrid. It is not good enough that they pick and choose when they want to come to play.
Anyway turns out we're a fairly poor team, which is somehow a surprise to the noisy majority here
I'm hurt and offended Carlton.
Beautifully tanked.
Supreme
Please please please, I will give my first born to have Kerridge out of the team.
Kerridge, Thomas, Kreuzer and Boekhorst were pathetic.
Why do we have to watch Kruezer each week? Most overated player in the game.
What an exclamation regarding the failure of dale thomas.
Yet another day i'm embarrassed to say that i'm a Carlton supporter.
So business as usual really.
I'm sick of losing! 9 losses in a row now!
It is absolute garbage like that first half ruins everything that was positive during the season. It means nothing now.

It is garbage like that first half that will see a large dip in membership next year killing the club financially.

You can forget about signing players like an O'Meara because why anyone would want to join a list that dishes that garbage up is beyond me.

It is garbage like this, that Carlton have dished up regularly for this decade and a half plus that makes us the joke of the league, not Brisbane.

Don't even talk about a "premiership window" we are going to struggle to ever be in finals contention such is the garbage this club dishes up.

Vent/Rant over.
cant be excused. lost to a basket case that is extremely young and has has lost its past 2 games by 200 points. too many ordinary footballers.
Can't believe people praise out fight

Disgraceful effort

Football is about 4 quarters

It's about heart

Bolton needs to shoulder some responsibility for the terrible 6 quarters from last week into this week
And I thought we were bad last week. What we served up today was horrific.
Loving the melts.
So am I 8)
Starting to resemble the Punt Rd Ferals Board!
Kruezer is such a disappointment of for mine, we are caught in no mans land with what to do with him.
Stating the obvious but how frustrating is Liam Jones. Like most I have written him off and then he plays a 1/4 where he looks like Wayne Carey.
Disappointing...very

How about a win for the members/supporters huh?
Carltank!

Very well disguised this week - get blown away in the first half then claw your way back into the contest but not quite enough, to record yet another honourable loss.
It still astounds me that some of our supporters take some smug pleasure out of us losing games.
Stephen Silvagni right now..

Image
Thomas is legitimately a waste of space. A headache. A list spot that is just completely wasted and we're stuck with it.
As sh!thouse as that performance was and that 1st half was putrid it was a nothing game. Defensive pressure was non-existant.
