BigFooty...
10 goals. About right. Unfortunately.
Utter garbage.
Terrible. No gusto. I just want to see a red hot crack and that was terrible
Well that was hard to watch.
That was some HD cue in rack material.
Could've played a lot better if we could just absorb some pressure and hit targets. Too many shovel kicks to nowhere, or clearing kicks to crows players.
Thomas 12 touches
Seems to have escaped criticism of late
He's adding hardly anything
The game has passed him and Walker by
Beautiful to hear!
Kreuzer useless.
Phillips useless.
Kerridge horrible skills & decision making.
Everett hardly seen.
Wright useless.
Walker past it.
Gibbs kicking is shite.
Nothing to take from that game.
Some tried, some didn't.

Form has really dipped in the last month, with essentially the same 24 odd players.

Time to wield the axe.
We were a rabble late.

We gave up at the start of 3qrt time. The lack of effort was the most disappointing thing today.
The effort was there. But the skill level is absolutely woeful.

Even an under 10's team can use the ball better.
Hhhhhmmmmmmmm
Ok its time to pull the trigger on a few after that, players that aren't deemed to be part of the future going forwad need to be put back to the two's so we can have a look at a few who are deemed part of the future, and others who haven't been given a go for whatever reason one wants believe why they haven't
Well..we had our fun this year.
Carlton's skill level is woeful, is because they don't have enough talent on the list. They try hard but the list is just rubbish, VFL level!
Matt Kreuzer... LOL. Don't care where he was drafted, the fact he's getting a consistent game is an indictment on the ruck stocks. Is absolutely useless.
Haz Everitt done enough to be stuffed off yet? **** these list clogging seniors
Wow. That was sobering. Really disappointed by lack of composure and effort.
That said our two former players we gave away:
Betts> Daisy (if that was the exchange)
Jacobs > Kruezer.
We are dung
Just going to assume the response is "sack everyone who isn't a teenager."
The guys who were poor today have been poor for weeks

Shouldn't be a surprise

We are learning a lot about the list
lost by 10 goals to a top 4 side

shocked....

I said it last week and I'll say it again, the Bolton magic has worn off
Im tired of this defence of list cloggers.

There are no excuses.

Im fine if my side is losing... if we are building to something. We are building to NOTHING if we keep playing these cloggers.
I find far too many carlton fans are precious and won't critically reflect on our players and list. Wake up guys we've been a laughing stock for 15 years.
Disappointed that all that first half effort evaporated in the second.

There was a real dropping of the heads.
I just love how we have a crack and then after half gently place the cue in the rack and hope that the afl don't notice!!
Quality tanking blues.
Cue in the rack for the year I reckon. Disappointing after the 7 week stretch we put together earlier in the year.
Just a performance worthy of a team exactly where it's at and a lot of work to do to get better, couple with the honeymoon period well and truly ending.

Welcome to a bad team, Brendan! Hope you know who to clear out at seasons end!
Ok hear me out for a second.

How much does Buttifant need to be whacked, I honestly am starting to think he massively under prepared the majority of our list for afl level bar a select few (who prorbably did yheir own work)

Part of rebuilding is fixing how the club preps the players which will take 2 to 3 pee seasons to fix as well.
Butters stamping his legacy at Carlton
I sure miss rounds 5-11, they were wonderful days, pregnant with promise.

Now we've come crashing back to earth, to where we rightfully belong.

I am past nitpicking which players are underperforming. As a whole, our list is very low on quality. We'll probably be seeing a few favourites on the chopping block in the off season.
I don't know what was more disappointing today. Carlton losing by 10 goals or putting a sachet of equal into my flat white by mistake.
Thomas is a shadow of his former self, makes some of the most ridiculous errors.
So many players worthy of dropping, so few to bring in.

ah great all round,we belt a top four team, and the bluebellies lose horribly, and I was right about Boy Bolton, the honeymoon is over for him now, well and truly, like turnbull. Bolton has a shit list of ageing players, dollar daisy is a total dud, now injured yet again, and they have a very, very grim future. LOL.

I think Bolton probably knew that before he started. The list isn't his fault - but the unacceptably competent way they played earlier in the season was.

Yeah, I guess the old man did bugger things up for boy Bolton. LOL, its like that Captain Smith, on the Titanic, post iceberg, saying to a young seaman, "You take command young fellow, I'm off to the lifeboats. "

Carlton lose by 7 points to West Coast. Nothing like a good Carlton loss regardless of the margin!

TankingCarlton...
Without Simpson we would be vfl standard by some distance.
Skills efficiency time and time again we shoot ourselves in the ass..we could be closer
lots of blunders

disgraceful umpiring
Given the terrible third quarter we had, I'm not too disappointed. @#$%&! we make some dumb mistakes.
Skills. Horrible turnovers that lead directly to goals.

Soul destroying when we butcher the ball and can't execute the basics.
Umpiring was terrible again
We were still pretty clumsy and turned it over for goals far too many times. The defensive disorganisation for Lecras first goal was bad and came back to bite us.
Bolton said it best last week when he said that we can make the incredibly easy look incredibly difficult.

Can someone explain what, aside from a few one percenters and "heart and soul", Kreuzer actually gives the side? He just doesn't do enough and I think that has been a consistent theme for most of his career, and certainly in recent years. He pops up with a good game once or twice a year but other than that he is just kind of "there", yet for some reason seems to be treated by every match committee as an automatic selection when fit. I don't get it.
Ah dang so bloody close I could almost taste it.
Close, but no cigar!
Like others - our errors and turnovers kill us by costing easy goals on the rebound - hopefully that will be sorted.
I'm so sick of us being raped by the umpires.....
BigFooty...
Umpiring in no way cost us? BULLSHIT it did f***** so.
Close but no cigar.
Good win by the boys today. Proud of the effort. Hope they dont get top 4. Think we may have hurt tgem today big time.
You lost!
lost the game early.
Bring on Sydney..

At the SCG ....

Rebounding from a loss!! ......

And then Hawthorn .....

Oh Shit.
By most reports in the 2nd and 3rd quarters we played pretty crap, and in the end only lost by 7 points. Imagine if we just played ordinary footy instead of pretty crap.....we would've won.
Yes, imagine... :P
From my vantage point in the Ponsford Stand I was underwhelmed for a lot of the game. Football without oomph frustrates me.

TankingCarlton...
Our poor kicking skills simply kill us. Not AFL standard.
siren

Image
BRAVE!!
So brave!
So close...
...yet so far!
if only we had a key forward.......
so close finishing skills again not there and some questionable no calls by the rejects of umpires.
Game decided by 2 huge non calls 25m out from goal. Joke.
Need our skill level to catch up with our effort and endeavour.

Just simply couldn't manufacture scores while dominating I50s in the last.

Disappointing but expected to get thrashed.
honorable loss ....like all the others the last 20 years

BigFooty...
That non free to phillips will be one of the worst non decisions of the year
To think had they paid the blatant and obvious free kicks to Phillips, Wright, Gibbs, Silvagni and Casboult all in the fourth we'd have won by 2+ goals. Similar free kicks paid consistently to this year's peptide warriors.
The tears are salty!
Two one goal losses in successive weeks to sides to teams vying for top 4.

Those really sting
We won 3 out of 4 quarters and f'in lost... F f f f f f....
3 years folks I am calling it we will be playing off in the finals next year and in the GF after that.
The definition of delusion! :P
best result that ...keep us low on ladder for better Draft picks , players take a ton of confidence that they are capable of being a top side , and carlton looks more attractive to prospective uncontracted top players as a Club on the Rise.. feels like a win to me
The tanking mentality has returned!
Feels like a win
It's a loss! Face up to reality!
Lots of iffy decisions in the last quarter cost us momentum and ultimately the match
Umpires fault again?
Always hurts to go down in a close one
Stiff not to get the result really.
