Mason Cox appreciation thread

Damn he's exciting, once he gets a run at the pill he's almost impossible to stop, if he can clean his hands up a bit he could take the AFL apart, scary shit considering his back ground, fingers crossed his improvement continues.

Yes, could be anything, but he ducks his head sometimes when he is in front ; if he can take that out of his game, this could get very exciting indeed. he was also excellent and intelligent in his ruck play. There was a palm down to
White near goal that didn't quite result in a goal, but was still wonderful ruck play.

Lots of upside, smart bloke.

He draws fee kicks cos he makes opposition defenders panic about how to spoil him.

That left hand has to be broken or seriously bruised, after Darcy landed flush on it, I saw a close up on the TV and the knuckles were swollen badly.

Leave him at FF. Yeah, he can ruck but leave him at FF

Imagine when he learns to use his big frame and starts clunking some marks.

Agree 100%, it's a bloody hard gig doing both, he's shown enough to suggest he can hold down a KF role, leave him there.

Should we be surprised though?

He went from a female basketball coaching aid to a college men's team within a year, he's a very fast learner, being 7 foot tall helps as well.

Bob he's actually quicker than I thought seeing him live for first time. He's a hell of a specimen and your 100% right if he gets those hands right and he could be anything
Really imposing figure and works well with Moore

He did the 20 mtr sprint in under 3 seconds at the camp iirc, that's elite for a guy of 6.6 let alone 6.11.

Need to stop playing him In the ruck though IMO.

He's too good in the ruck not to use as a chop out for the main ruckman. Both Witts and Grundy like playing on ball for the majority of the game, lets go with the 80/20 rule. 80% forward, 20% ruck.

Hopefully in the coming months that 20% consists of him rucking in our fwd 50.
