Thomas was a champion. Hard to think he does not know how to get back to the top tier of AFL talent. Could very well be his body just won't allow him to.

I for one do not begrudge Daisy chasing the money given the question marks over his body. Guaranteed dollars and long term deal against incentive based shorter deal on offer.MJ23 wrote:http://www.news.com.au/sport/breaking-news/dale-thomas-slammed-by-david-king-for-having-kicking-not-up-to-afl-standard-during-nab-challenge/news-story/1b60eabf580c61d658f9a0659e49c36a

It is clear that his kicking, which was never elite in the first place, has become much worse since his injuries and as King says, not AFL standard.
I will always remember his heroics in 2010 and his match saving tackle on Rioli in the 2011 prelim.
Will always be a Collingwood legend, not the pale imitation of a champion footballer that he is currently masquerading as in the navy blue.

Poor Daisy. How the mighty have fallen.
Even KB is laying the boots into him.

Solution is an easy one: once he sheds that rag of his back his kicking will come back to him. That Navy blue jumper is weighing the poor bloke down no end .......... maybe after next year he will be able to cut it off with some scissors and be the end of it! A talented player as he was doesn't loose it overnight? Still while those down at lygon st are fuming with DT performances we don't mind one bit!thebaldfacts wrote:Poor Daisy

A mix of TankingCarlton and BigFooty!
Players look genuinely gutted. Compare with the jokes post losses last year.
We really should've won.
@#$%&!
This season is gonna hurt.
We will be in a lot of games and lose i feel
Well, that's one of eight games we lose this year.
Unforced turnovers and inaccurate kicking will do us in all season long
Still not enough key players of AFL standard.
Faarrrk, that one hurts ............
Shattered not to win after the effort
Ahhh far out... We had a crack.
Disappointing to lose to such an ordinary team....oh well....only way is up.
I need a rant
Should have won that.
F**k I hate losing, so bloody close
Honestly would have preferred a 10 goal loss, that would have been easier to digest.
I'm bitterly disappointed, I will wait a bit and calm down before posting again, but that's a game we should have won.
We blew it, Richmond didn't win it, and from that perspective I don't consider it an honorable loss, we should have done better.
Very dissapointed tonight.
22 cigarettes for the game! And I'm trying to give up!
On the negative side:
That is probably as good a side as we can put on the park at the moment and Richmond were injury depleted.
I thought the rucks were well beaten.
We need to convert our inside 50s better
I thought we would run the game out better and I really thought we would win being in front at 3/4 time.
65 games to go.
I think I'd feel less pissed off if we'd been thumped by 10 goals. So near and yet so far. Murphy and Cripps lack of condition told in the end, hope they both pull up okay. I have a nagging feeling this may be the story of our year. Honourable losses while the season is young, followed by some thumpings as the long, hard season tells on the kids.
Considering the players Richmond had out I don't think we should get too carried away with this effort. We lost to a good ordinary side, no more than that.
Well, i was expecting a loss anyway, but to get so close is heartbreaking.
