I've heard this Mohammed is an absolute gun. We have to get him.
Good luck with that T.
The mosques he attends are based in Western Sydney and Brisbane...

Bound to be homesick if we bring him to Melbourne then.

He was a top player in the TSL, along with Sam Darley and a few others, he crossed to Hobart from Dodges Ferry because it was more chance of playing for the Mariners and getting drafted, or so it was said.

I'll be happy to see another Taswegian in black and white, been awhile since there was one i guess Ben Richmond counts but didn't make it out there on the park in the AFL for the Pies.

He took some great marks down here, which had him compared to Robbo, it was believed that a specky by Robbo at North Hobart got him drafted.

Whether or not Howe performs at Collingwood is anyone's guess, but if they risk it and he pays off then its great, if not well that's life. Might as well try something and see than to be afraid of risks.

"Anyone who is not cross-eyed or bandy-legged could be a top player in the T..S..L"

I think the TSL is probably his level.
How did he go down there in the Finals ?
Maybe he is a big-game specialist

Melbourne forward Jeremy Howe has accepted an offer to join Collingwood.
Howe has opted for the Pies over North Melbourne and Gold Coast, even though their offer is slightly less.
It is understood the offer from Collingwood - which was only received on Thursday - is a three-year deal.

While I am confident Melbourne will back down and trade Howe for Kennedy and possibly a late pick, if they continue this nonsense with Gold Coast, Collingwood should get legal advice for Howe about a challenge under restraint of trade legislation. The threat alone should be enough to get the AFL to lean on the Demons and force them to back down.

I am a sports historian not a lawyer so my knowledge of restraint of trade legislation is based on the Foschini case in 1983 and the Tutty case (Rugby League) in 1979. The law may well have changed since then so I would welcome any criticism or updated information from Legal Nicksters but as I understood Crockett's judgement on Foschini Melbourne cannot force Howe to go Gold Coast rather than Collingwood against his wishes.

1 week to go, no need for legal action. Melbourne want Kennedy and we want Hoewe, it'll happen.

Pick 3 will still get to Dees.

Gold Coast will trade 3 to them for 6 and Watts.

Alf is also a historian. I have no idea what Hiss' areas of expertise are and I suspect if I speculated it would probably be libellous.

This won't happen. While a challenge under restraint of trade would probably be successful it would also invalidate the entire draft/trade system. At present this system exists due all involved (players/clubs) agreeing to abide by it. It just takes one person. One players took down the entire transfer system in world football (Bossman) in the early 90's, similar this could happen here if someone decides to challenge.

This trade will happen (if the player involved is satisfied), just like Beams deal happened, just like the Tippet deal happened and countless other deals.
