Ranked according to where she values each player (not accounting for pre-selections)

If we hadn't drafted Moore I reckon we would have gone for Wright, but having already secured a KPF I'd expect us to select a good sized midfielder. The choices here seem to be out of Brayshaw, Laverde, Cockatoo or De Goey. I doubt we'll select him, but I'm warming more and more to Nakia Cockatoo. He seems to have both an inside and outside game, with blitzing pace and oodles of class. He's also powerfully built. Also, given that he missed most of 2014 with a broken foot, he's probably got enormous scope for improvement. He just seems a match winner to me.

Crikey I might need to become very bullish about us taking Wright again over any midfield prospect.

If both Wright and Moore came good as AFL level forwards we'd be set for the next decade at least.

Big decision for Hine as good big guys are bloody hard to come by.

It seems we can't lose whichever way we go. We'll either select Wright, thereby potentially securing our future forward line for years to come, or we'll select one of Brayshaw, Laverde, De Goey or maybe Cockatoo, thus gaining the next Pendles we so desperately want.

I just wish 27 November would hurry up and arrive, as I'm going mad changing my preference day by day. The evenness of the draft makes me wonder if Hines is going through the same process.

Must admit, like Rudeboy, Nakia Cockatoo is sounding like a really good prospect lately. If we get either he or Laverde I would be very happy. Seems as though everybody's knock on Laverde is limited inside game, but silk outsider's with excellent pace and and fantastic leap are worth their weight in gold as I'm sure everyone agrees. Cockatoo seems to have a mixture of inside and outside which is very tempting. Not sure if our policy on drafting injured players has changed at all lately, but I'm sure we're able to fix his foot up if he hasn't already.

Cockatoo is a very good prospect but unfortunately for us I just don't think we can afford to risk using pick 5 on a player who if not for a single standout performance in his only game for the year wouldn't have become so hyped.

Not sure he played much footy last year either did he?

If Wright is available at our pick, we take him. No issue. Big blokes who can seriously play are gold.

with cloke bring 27 it couldn't hurt to strengthen the forwards.

^Problem is we don't seem to interested in Wright.

I guess with Moore, Grundy and Witts you can make a good case why we can afford to overlook him but if we bypass him and he becomes one of the dominant forwards in the league in 4 years time we better hope whoever we do select at 5 becomes an A grade talent or we'll be kicking ourselves.

I'm flip flopping but I think I'll stick with the two I originally took a shine to and that's Laverde and Wright as my equal first preference at pick 5.

i don't see grundy or witts as a kpp. moore yes. we have gault who still has much to do. we'd have a greater chance of picking up a later pick mid who surprises than a tall forward who could do similar.

^I don't disagree and it's one of my main arguments why we should take a chance on Wright.

It could end in tears but his upside like Moore is huge so the pay off could also be large.

Pretty sure Richmond supporters would have wished they went for Roughead and Franklin over Deledio (Laverde) and Tambling (Pickett).

Food for thought.

It's simple isn't it? If we're getting Cameron next year, we take Laverde. If Dangerfield, then Wright. Simple.
Well done boys!

i wonder if getting balme increases our chances with snagging dangerfield. it seems the cats have been making a concerted effort to woo him throughout the year.
