Won't Gibbs be a free agent? Adelaide don't have to give Carlton anything if he wants to go there.

Josh Kennedy kicked 11 against GWS today.

Lucky for Carlton that they have an abundance of quality tall players. And could afford to trade the surplus in the Judd deal

I saw on their FB Page, the greatest 150 moments of all time...

I put a post up & stating the Judd/Kennedy deal & it was deleted...

That's right, a Restricted Free Agent.

Adelaide can offer him a deal, but Carlton have the right to match it. If they were to match an Adelaide offer, then Gibbs can either stay with the Scum, seek a trade, or chance his arm in the draft.

So, strictly speaking, Adelaide might still have to cough up something in terms of a trade in order to get him if the Scum match an offer, but Free Agency means they can likely just price them out of the market.

Although knowing the Scum, they likely won't have a line in the sand beyond which they don't cross...

A lot of love for the scum in the slum today. And Bryce to stay. Good news for all concerned, except them. Seems his agent has discovered he is not worth what Gibbs seems to think.

To be honest I'm hoping that he stays at the scum because he isn't worth a top 10, perhaps as high as top 5 selection as compensation.

If I was the scum I'd be hoping he leaves though surely he's only worth an end of round 1 compensation pick.

He might have been a former number 1 pick but I'd argue his best single season was still behind 2 or more seasons that Thomas produced for the pies.

You don't want the scum getting an extra top 10 pick in a year full of kp talent.
