The first year mad Mick started coaching the scum he started late as he was out flogging his daughters book and did not get involved in the trade or draft period.

Now to hear him whinging about the list is brilliant. Whatever happens from now they will always be a year behind.

That's what happens when you're in the gig for all the wrong reasons.

To be a successful coach of an AFL team, no doubt means you must have the burning desire, 100% commitment and passion.

Not just be doing it out of spite for your former employer and a need to show you've still got what it takes.

Well guess what Mick? You don't still have what it takes. We ditched you at just the right time.

Coaches spend a lot of time telling players that it won't just happen. Well I reckon mick thought he'd get the band back together: ie Butters and Daisy and his boundary hugging game plan and it would 'just happen'.

Sorry mick. It ain't gunna happen.

Now Gibbs says he wants to stay.

Not sure the scum would want to keep him.

Assuming they finish around 14 th they will get pick 5. If Gibbs leaves as a free agent, then depending on the salary he gets, they may get pick 6 as well.

If only they picked Selwood

It's great news that Gibbs wants to stay. That should completely ruin the Blooz' recruiting strategy. Finish bottom 4, lose Gibbs at $700 K or so per year and get picks somewhere between 1 and 2, at best, and 4 and 5, at worst. Keep Gibbs, lose a top 5 draft pick and substantial salary cap relief. Go Bryce - make it happen!

Delusional if they think Crows will swap Dangerfield directly for Gibbs. I would want Gibbs, Blues 2nd rounder and maybe a fringe player like Ellard.
And Dangerfield will want a Judd like deal.

The Crows will get better offers for Dangerfield than that.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.

Gibbs for Dangerfield sounds like punishment, not a deal.

I think Dangerfield wants to play finals on a regular basis. No point him going to the Scum.
I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within.
